A cameraman wanders around Moscow, Kharkiv, Kyiv and Odesa with a camera slung over his shoulder, documenting urban life with dazzling invention. Man with a Movie Camera is one of the major manifestos of the world cinema avant-garde. According to the aesthetic principles of Vertov, the film was not based on a script. In Man with a Movie Camera, Vertov implemented experiments that he carried out for many years and theoretical developments in cinematography and editing, turning the film into a film-making methodological guide for subsequent generations of directors. The camera of a talented cinematographer Mikhail Kaufman captures the motley life of Ukrainian megalopolises – Odesa, Kharkiv, and Kyiv – under New Economic Policy.

共に青春時代を謳歌した女子高校生７人組が２５年ぶりに再会を果たしていく物語が、過去と現在と行き来しながら80年代ポップスとともに温かく描かれていく。胸の奥に沈んだ青春時代の希望と後悔の残渣をすくい上げてくれる秀作。

日活の成人映画レーベル「ロマンポルノ」の45周年を記念して日本映画界の第一線で活躍する監督たちが新作ロマンポルノを手掛ける「日活ロマンポルノ・リブート・プロジェクト」で、「冷たい熱帯魚」「ヒミズ」の園子温監督がメガホンをとったアナーキーな1作。小説家兼アーティストとしてブレイクした京子は、極彩色の部屋に籠もり、マネージャーの典子から知らされるスケジュールを分刻みでこなす毎日を送っていた。次第に虚構と現実の境が曖昧になっていく中、京子の意外な過去が暴かれていく。主人公の京子役に「みんな！エスパーだよ！」の冨手麻妙。

高校生デイビッドは、1950年代のホームドラマ“プレザントヴィル”にハマッていた。そんな彼はある日、双子の妹ジェニファーとリモコンでチャンネル争いをしていると、いつの間にかプレザントヴィルの世界に入ってしまう。2人が主人公パーカー家の子供となったその白黒の世界は、暴力も性描写もなく平穏そのもの。だが、本能のままに行動するジェニファーによって、モノクロの世界は次第に色づきはじめていく…。

　映像作家・加藤久仁生が制作した短編アニメーションで、後にフランスのアヌシー国際アニメーション映画祭で最高賞を受賞、さらにはアカデミー賞の短編アニメ映画賞をも受賞し、一躍世間の話題となった。海面が上昇したことで水没しつつある街に一人残り、まるで塔のようにそびえ立った家で暮らしている老人がいた。彼は家が沈みかけるたびに、積み木のように上へ上へと家を建て増しすることで難をしのぎつつも穏やかに暮らしていた。そんなある日、彼はお気に入りのパイプを海中へと落としてしまう。それを拾うために彼はダイバー姿になって海中へと潜っていくが、やがて彼はかつて共に暮らしていた家族との思い出を回想していく。セリフが無く物語は淡々と進むが、海外で受賞後に日本で上映された際には女優の長澤まさみがナレーションを担当した。

夏休みを利用しておばちゃまの羽臼屋敷を訪れる“オシャレ”と6人の友人。だがおばちゃまはすでにこの世の人ではなく、戦死した恋人への思いだけで存在し続ける生き霊だったのだ。そして若返るためには少女を食べなければならない。ピアノや時計が少女たちを次々に襲い、羽臼屋敷は人喰い屋敷と化した……。

A story of a group of humanoid rabbits and their depressive, daily life. The plot includes Suzie ironing, Jane sitting on a couch, Jack walking in and out of the apartment, and the occasional solo singing number by Suzie or Jane. At one point the rabbits also make contact with their “leader”.

Wavelength consists of almost no action, and what action does occur is largely elided. If the film could be said to have a conventional plot, this would presumably refer to the three “character” scenes. In the first scene two people enter a room, chat briefly, and listen to “Strawberry Fields Forever” on the radio. Later, a man (played by filmmaker Hollis Frampton) enters inexplicably and dies on the floor. And last, the female owner of the apartment is heard and seen on the phone, speaking, with strange calm, about the dead man in her apartment whom she has never seen before.
