ある日、いつもの様に街を散歩していたチャーリーの耳に赤ん坊の泣き声が聞こえてきた。辺りを見回すとまだ生まれたばかりの赤ん坊が街頭に捨てられている。どうしたものかと抱き上げた彼の目の前に、パトロール中の警官が通りかかった。警官は彼が赤ん坊を捨てにきたと勘違いし、目を光らせている。仕方なく彼は、その赤ん坊を自分のボロ・アパートに連れて帰った。それから5年後－－その子はチャーリーの仕事を手伝う程成長していた。

舞台は昔のフランス。かの有名なヒーロー“三銃士”に憧れ、いつかは自分たちも輝かしい近衛銃士の一員になりたいと夢見る下働きのミッキー、ドナルド、グーフィー。ある日突然、落ちこぼれで失敗してばかりのミッキーたちが、ミニー姫の警護にあたる銃士に大抜擢される…。でもその裏には、ミニー姫を危険に陥れようとする近衛隊長ピートの悪巧みが隠されていたのです。大張り切りのミッキーたち“三銃士”は、力を合わせてミニー姫を守れるのでしょうか…？

大きな製鉄工場で働くチャーリーは、スパナを手にひたすらベルトコンベアーを流れる部品にねじを回し続けるという単純作業を繰り返していた。その様子はテレビモニターで監視され、休む暇もなく働かされていた。ある日、チャーリーは労働者の食事時間を節約するために作られた自動給食マシーンの実験台にされ散々な目に合わされる。その後も仕事を続けていく内にチャーリーは発狂し、トラブルを起こして精神病院送りになってしまう。ようやく退院を迎えた日、トラックから落ちた赤旗を拾い運転手に返そうと追いかけていく内にいつの間にか労働者のデモ隊の先導をきってしまい、そのリーダーと間違われて捕まって拘置所に入れられてしまう。脱獄囚を撃退した功績で模範囚として放免され造船所の仕事を紹介されるものの、上手くいかず辞めてしまい、あてもなく街をうろつく生活に陥ってしまう。 拘置所が恋しくなったチャーリーはわざと無銭飲食をして捕まえられるが、護送車の中でパンを盗んだ浮浪少女（ポーレット・ゴダード）と出会う。護送車が急カーブで横転し、外へ投げ出されたチャーリーと少女は逃亡。少女と意気投合したチャーリーは、2人のために家を建てるという夢を胸に一念発起とばかり働き出す。デパートの夜回り、工場の技師の助手と仕事を獲得するものの結局上手くいかず、2件とも警察沙汰になるという不運な結果に終わってしまう。その後少女が勤め始めたキャバレー[3]のウェイターの職を得る。見世物の「ティティナ」を歌って大成功したが、少女の微罪のため、そこも追われてしまう。やっとの思いで手に入れた幸福すらも失い悲しみに打ちひしがれる少女を、チャーリーは力強く励ます。 そして、二人は未来に希望を見出し、現代社会の冷たさと束縛に囚われない自由な生活を求めて共に旅立っていくのだった。

MORTAL KOMBAT: REBIRTH is a short film released by Kevin Tancharoen (Director) in 2010. It was originally made as a proof of concept for Tancharoen's pitch to Warner Brothers for a reboot movie franchise. This 8-minute short features an intricate fight scene choreographed by Larnell Stovall. It also reintroduces classic Mortal Kombat characters, including: Jax (Michael Jai White), Sonya Blade (Jeri Ryan), Johnny Cage (Matt Mullins), Scorpion (Ian Anthony Dale), Baraka (Lateef Crowder) and Shang Tsung (James Lew).

主人公のジョージという男は、いつも何処かでツキに見放され、逆境にばかり立ち向かう運命にあった。自分のミスではなく大金を失った彼は、全てに絶望して自殺を図る。ところが、12月の冷たい河に飛び降りようとしたとき、彼より先に一人の男が身を投げて救けてくれと叫んだ。あわてて救けたジョージに、男は、自分は見習い天使だと告げるが……。

狼男族だけでなく、仲間である吸血鬼族からも追われる身となった後に、人間に捕まってしまった女戦士セリーン。12年もの眠りから覚醒した彼女は、その間にも収束することのなかった吸血鬼族と狼男族の戦いに、両種族の能力を奪おうと人間が加わっている混沌を極めた状況を目の当たりにする。吸血鬼族、狼男族、人間が入り乱れる壮絶な戦闘の最中に、セリーンは戦いの行方を大きく左右する存在となる少女と出会う。

Two grotesque minstrels are seen playing beneath a fair lady's window. She appears, and encourages one of them. The disappointed minstrel thereupon kicks the favored suitor with such force that it lifts him up to the second story window, and into the arms of the lady. This effect is very cleverly worked out, and makes a very amusing situation.

From a single camera position, two young women are photographed lighting a cigarette. After several puffs, one of the young ladies becomes faint, and the other one tries to revive her fallen friend.

Reportage about the visit that the delegates to the First Peace Conference at The Hague made to the floral parade in Haarlem. [...] Although the original goal – a treaty on disarmament – was not reached, other treaties were indeed agreed upon, for example a ban on the use of poison gas and the dropping of bombs from balloons. [...]The group, consisting of 175 guests, made a special train trip to Haarlem on June 4, where they visited the floral parade and the Frans Hals Museum.

Filmed on January 1, 1899, this Edison short shows a victory march by General Lee and the Seventh Army Corps. When watching these early films it's best to look at them as a newsreel because you're really not going to get any type of entertainment like we expect from films today. There isn't any story, performances or direction here and instead we pretty much just see a part of history as these men, war vets of course, are being celebrated for their jobs.

The Astor Battery became famous after the Spanish-American war and these young men are on display in this Edison short, which was shot on Saturday, January 21, 1899. We see a parade cross Broadway onto Union Square with the mounted police, the band and then the Astor Battery. The footage of this short is still in very good condition, which adds a lot considering how little footage is available of these men.
