シノプシス
A young man returns to his ex-girlfriend and true love to discover the source of her increasing depression. As the young man earnestly tries to help his girlfriend through her troubles, their love begins to bloom.
幼なじみの親友、レイフとダニー。米陸軍の航空隊に入った2人は隊でも一、二を争う実力派パイロットに育つ。レイフは美しい看護師イヴリンと出会って恋に落ちるが、欧州の戦場へひとり旅立つ。その一方、ダニーとイヴリンはハワイに転属。レイフが戦死したとの知らせにイヴリンは落ち込むが、ダニーと恋することで立ち直る。だが実はレイフが生きていたと判明し、3人の間には気まずい空気が。そこへ日本軍が真珠湾を奇襲する。
うだつの上がらないスタンダップ・コメディアン、アルビーは、知り合った美女アニーと意気投合して同棲生活を始めるが、うまくいくのは最初だけ。次第に相手のイヤなところが気になり出した二人の間には見えない溝ができ上がっていた。そしてアニーの前に現れた人気歌手のカリフォルニアへの誘いが二人の仲にピリオドを打つ決定的なものとなった。
