1976年に日本ビクターがVHSビデオデッキを発売した後、VHSビデオはビデオテープ1本で映画を世界中どこででも楽しめると人気を博し、停滞を続けた世界の映画界にとって救世主的な存在となった。しかしその一方、海賊版が量産されるという問題が発生。そして“映画は劇場で上映されるもの”という既存の概念を覆すかのように多数のオリジナル作品がビデオ発売用に作られるが、そこで生まれたのは玉石混交の作品群で……。

1本のビデオテープを盗み出す仕事を依頼された若者たち。忍び込んだ家には大量のテープと死体があった。目的のビデオを探すため1本1本再生していくと、そこに映っていたのは──
