ロンドン。英国の新首相デヴィッドは着任早々、秘書のナタリーに一目ぼれ。最愛の妻を亡くしたダニエルは、妻の連れ子から恋に悩んでいると明かされる。作家ジェイミーは、言葉が通じないポルトガル人のメイドに好意を。3人の子どもがいるハリーとカレンの夫妻だが、ハリーは会社の若い部下と浮気をしていた。ハリーの会社に勤めるサラは入社以来ずっとある同僚に片思い中などなど、人々はさまざまな想いを胸に聖夜を迎えていく。

宅配ピザ配達員のダニエルは念願のタクシードライバーになった。スピード狂の彼の愛車であるプジョーは、どんな場所でもあっという間に客を送り届けることができる。ある日、マルセイユ警察のエミリアン刑事を彼が刑事とは知らずに乗せて猛スピードで警察署まで送り、スピード違反の現行犯で検挙されてしまう。その頃、市内ではドイツの強盗団による連続銀行強盗事件が相次いでおり、警察を悩ませていた。ダニエルは違反を見逃すことを交換条件に、エミリアンと共に強盗事件の捜査に協力することになった。

それぞれの息子が地元の少年サッカーチームで一緒に練習に励むなど、穏やかな日々を送るスピード狂のタクシー運転手ダニエルとドジな刑事エミリアン。そんな中、17か国から指名手配される凶悪犯“ベルギーの怪物”を護送する任務が、マルセイユ警察に舞い込む。しかし、エミリアンのドジで犯人に逃げられてしまい……。

In Marseille, the young Serbian-Albanian Adria Shala is an illegal immigrant traumatized by her past. Every now and then Adria recalls her life in Kosovo, when she was saved from rape by a deserter called Srdjan Vasiljevic in 1999. They move to Belgrade where Srdjan becomes a gangster, dealing weapons and becoming an assassin. Adria learns how to shoot and helps Srdjan with his work at first, becoming his mistress later.

Manu arrives in Paris, in the early days of AIDS, at the beginning of the 1980s. He strikes up a friendship with Adrien, a wealthy doctor in his early fifties, who introduces him to Sarah and Mehdi, a young couple.
