ハイ・テクノロジーを駆使し様々な時代を体験できるた巨大遊園地デロス・ランド。その中の西部世界を再現したセクションで突如ロボットの反乱が起きる。出世作「荒野の七人」で自分が演じたガンマンのロボットに扮したユル・ブリンナーの物言わぬ不気味さが印象的。人気SF作家マイケル・クライトンが脚本・監督した。
