Queenie eventually recognises that, to Jock, she is nothing more than a toy, and that Eddie is in love with her.

When June marries and leaves, Rose turns her hope and attention to her elder, less obviously talented, daughter Louise. Steve, the stage manager, has the Three Stooges helping him manage all the show girls. Fred Astaire and Nelson Eddy make appearances as famous Broadway personalities.
