シノプシス
This documentary on the effect the talent competition "Afghan Star" has on the incredibly diverse inhabitants of Afghanistan affords a glimpse into a country rarely seen. Contestants risk their lives to appear on the television show that is a raging success with the public and also monitored closely by the government.
米国のNSA（国家安全保障局）で働き、同じく情報機関のCIA（中央情報局）でも働いた当時29歳の男性スノーデンは、米政府が国民のプライバシーを侵害していることに憤り、2013年、“シチズンフォー”というハンドルネームを使ってドキュメンタリー監督ポイトラスと連絡を取り、自分が知っているすべてをカメラの前で語ると言い、ポイトラス監督とジャーナリストのグリーンウォルドは香港でスノーデンと面会する。

タイのバンコクでひっそりと暮らすベトナム帰還兵ランボーのもとに、以前の上官トラウトマン大佐が到着し、アフガニスタンに潜入する任務を手伝うよう依頼してくる。一度は断わったランボーだが、代わりにアフガンへ向かった大佐が現地でソ連軍に拉致されてしまったと聞き、自分もアフガンへ。そこで地元の反ソ・ゲリラ、ムジャヒディンたちと協力し合いながら、大佐の救出を目指す。
