トム（チャーリー・シーン）の農場にミステリアス・サークルが出現。そのニュースを追うのはキャスターのシンディ（アンナ・ファリス）。彼女は友人の通夜で、1本のビデオを手にする。それは呪いのビデオだった。

新たに職探しをしていたシンディはある日、不気味な老婦人の世話をすることに。また一方、その隣に住むイケメンの男性トムが気になる存在となる。そんな中、突如として宇宙人が地球を襲撃、老婦人の家ではシンディの前に謎の少年が現われる。そして、不吉なメッセージを目にしたシンディは、その謎を解くため、友人ブレンダと共にまたしても不気味な村へ向かう。そこでも不可解な出来事に見舞われながら脱出したのも束の間、宇宙人に生け捕りにされてしまうシンディたちだが…。
