学校をサボり、公園の日本庭園で靴のスケッチを描く高校生のタカオ。靴職人を目指すタカオはそこで、缶ビールを飲む女性、ユキノと出会う。ユキノはタカオに「また会うかもね。雨が降ったら」と告げ、その場を後にした。こうして二人は約束もないまま、雨の日の公園で逢瀬を重ねるようになる。歩き方を忘れたというユキノのため、タカオは靴を作ろうとするのだった。
