ヘンリーは、服役中に知り合ったオーティスと共同生活をしながら、表向きは害虫駆除の仕事を坦々とこなす日々を過ごしていた。しかし、殺人への渇望は充たされることはなく、あたかもそれが日課のようなに殺人を繰り返していたのだった。やがてヘンリーの”狂気”はオーティスをも引き込んで、凶行はさらにエスカレートして行く。そしてある日、オーティスの妹ベッキーが彼らの生活に加わり、これをきっかけにしてヘンリーとオーティスの関係は均衡が次第に崩れ始めるのだった。
