衝撃的な内容で話題となったブレット・イーストン・エリスの小説を「I SHOT ANDY WARHOL」のメアリー・ハロン監督が映画化したサスペンス・ドラマ。80年代のニューヨーク。27歳のハンサムなヤッピー、パトリック・ベイトマンは一流企業の副社長。高級マンションに住み、美しい婚約者もいる彼は一見誰もが羨む生活を送っていた。しかし、彼の心の中には深い闇が広がっており、突如襲う衝動に突き動かされ、夜の街をさまよいホームレスや娼婦を殺害していたのだった……。

元グリーンベレーでありベトナム戦争から帰還したジョン・ランボー。戦争は終わり、たった一人生き残った戦友を訪ねた帰り道、ふらりと田舎町に立ち寄ったが、汚らしい風来坊という見た目だけで保安官にいわれの無い嫌がらせを受け、無実でありながら不当逮捕されてしまう。保安官事務所内で静かに抵抗するランボーだったが、監禁され暴行されるうち次第に戦場でかつて経験した過酷な拷問の苦痛が蘇り警官達をあっという間に打ちのめしそのまま逃亡してしまう。追われるランボーだが逃げ込む先は彼のグラウンドである山の中。ゲリラ戦で培った戦闘技術で追跡する保安官全てを圧倒的に屈服させるが、ランボーの逃走はマスコミ、州警察、軍を巻き込み次第に大事になってゆく。

Ａ・タルコフスキーの作品は様々な映像の断片がコラージュされたようなものばかりである。この「鏡」もまたそうであり、彼の自伝的要素を持つというが、解るような解らないような……。でもその数々の映像はどれもこれもかっこ良く、戦争の記録フィルムらしきものも出てくる。物語などの存在は忘れてただひたすら映像の中で泳ぐような感覚で、なんとも美しい一本だ。

1980年、ハワイ沖を航行する原子力攻撃空母ニミッツは突如、奇妙な竜巻の襲来を受けたために真珠湾へ引き返そうとするが、そのまま呑み込まれてしまう。嵐は収まったものの、随伴していた駆逐艦が行方不明で無線にどこからも応答がないなどの異常な事態を認識した艦長は、両舷に緊急警戒態勢を発令すると共に、真珠湾への偵察機を発進させる。ニミッツに近づく飛行機をレーダーによって発見し、調査のためにF-14トムキャットを発進させるが、その飛行機はなんと零戦であった。

１９４２年、ソロモン諸島。アメリカ軍は日本軍の駐留するガダルカナル島を、太平洋戦争の重要な拠点と見なしその占拠を図った。ウィット二等兵（ジム・カヴィーゼル）やウェルシュ曹長（ショーン・ペン）をはじめとするアメリカ陸軍Ｃ中隊の面々も作戦に参加、彼らを乗せた上陸用舟艇は美しい南洋の孤島に次々と上陸していく。だが一歩ジャングルの奥に足を踏み入れると、そこは紛うことなき戦場であった……。

Working in Dr. Cranley's laboratory, scientist Jack Griffin was always given the latitude to conduct some of his own experiments. In this short subject (which mostly represents a departure from Disney's traditional approach to animation), a stuffy owl teacher lectures his feathered flock on the origins of Western musical instruments. Starting with cavepeople, whose crude implements could only "toot, whistle, plunk and boom," the owl explains how these beginnings led to the development of the four basic types of Western musical instruments: brass, woodwinds, strings, and percussion.

Daffy tries to sell movie studio head J.L. his script for a swashbuckler set in Merry Olde England, a plot involving a maiden in distress, a scheming Chamberlain, an evil Grand Duke and a dashing masked hero (to be played by Daffy, of course).

While reading his favorite comic book, Daffy accidentally knocks himself unconscious and dreams he's Duck Twacy, famous detective, trying to solve the case of the missing piggy banks. Taking a streetcar (conducted by Porky Pig, in a non-speaking cameo role) to the gangsters' hideout, he meets up with such grotesque criminals as Pickle Puss, Eighty-Eight Teeth and Neon Noodle.

The cartoon finds a row of signs saying it's rabbit season ("If you're looking for fun, you don't need a reason. All you need is a gun, it's Rabbit Season!"). Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck again are arguing over which of them is “in season” (it is really Duck Season, as Daffy says in the beginning), while a befuddled Elmer Fudd tries to figure out which animal is telling the truth. Between using sneaky plays-on-words, and dressing himself in women's clothing (including a Lana Turner-style sweater), Bugs manages to escape unscathed, while Daffy repeatedly has his beak blown off, upside-down, and sideways by Elmer.

Woody is standing outside the Seville Barber Shop looking at the ads. Wanting a "victory haircut", he decides to enter the shop only to find the owner has stepped out for a physical. Woody decides to cut his own hair ("I cut my own teeth") but unfortunately is mistaken for the owner when two other customers enter, one an Indian who wants a quick shampoo and the other, a construction worker who wants "the whole works" and, unfortunately, gets it.

Tom enters from stage left in white tie and tails, sits at the piano, gets his focus as the orchestra in the pit beneath him warms up, and begins to play Liszt's "Hungarian Rhapsody". Unbeknownst to Tom and the audience, Jerry is asleep across several of the high-note keys inside the instrument, so Tom's playing eventually wakes him. Jerry is pummeled by hammers, bounced by wires, and squeezed by Tom as the cat tries to play the concerto while dispensing with Jerry. Jerry's defensive antics add to the brio of the program and answer Tom with Jerry's own skillful musical attack. By the concerto's end, the duet leaves only one animal standing for the audience's applause.
