Chandranudikkunna Dikhil (1999)

Chess is a story of young man who is thrown into the deep end where sharks of the society swim with nonchalance.

Franco, who runs an automobile workshop, and his sister Jenny, a college student, share a very strong bond. Matters take a turn when Franco falls in love with Jenny's enemy.

Advocate Ravishankar works as a junior under the cunning lawyer, Venugopal, who is also rude. One day, Ravishankar beats up Venugopal and quits his job. He then fights for a murder case against Venugopal representing the opposite party.

The tale is about two friends, Roy (Vineeth Sreenivasan) and Sanju (Vinu Mohan), struggling to make both ends meet with their low salaries, working respectively as a cashier in a private finance company and as a salesman in an electronics goods shop.

Counting on superstar Rajnikant's popularity, Raghuram and his motley crew of two, entertain residents of a small town, and gain fame almost overnight. Raghuram starts to call himself 'Style Raj', and decides to become a actor in his own right. He starts to woo local belle, Thatha, the daughter of a blacksmith. But it is only his crew that are aware that this self-styled 'Style Raj' has led a secret lifestyle that is inconsistent with his present background.

The film is about Benny Chacko (Jayaram) who is a cable operator and has dreams of getting rich. His friend (Nedumudi Venu) gives him the idea of getting married so that with the dowry he can fulfill his dreams.

Jayasurya plays Priyadarshan, a village simpleton, who is overjoyed on being temporarily appointed at the Taluk Office on a leave vacancy. The officer who has gone on leave is Vaishakhan (Manoj K Jayan), who is busy pursuing his dreams of turning a film director some day. Priyan merges into the city landscape in no time, and its busy inhabitants find his ways amusing. And for the first time in his life, he falls in love.

The film is set in a fictitious poverty-ridden village of Gowlipady, which is virtually ruled by the ruthless zamindari Bhandaravathi (Sukanya). Kashi (Nedumudi Venu) is a lottery salesman. He is the only literate person of his village. Once, a lottery sold by him happens to win the first prize of 5 Crore Indian Rupee. Greedy Kashi tries to get back the lottery ticket but doesn't know to whom he has sold the ticket to.

Shivam is a Police thriller, with Biju Menon in the lead, and Shaji Kailas comes back to associate with Revathy Kalamandhir. The theme involves administration of Vigilante justice with the hero taking law into his own hands and bcoming an anti-hero in the process.

Viswanathan (Sreenivasan) is a village officer. He wants to make his son Manu (Vineeth Sreenivasan), an engineer. But manu wants to become a singer. Viswanatahan sends him to a coaching centre principled by KC Francis (Thilakan). Manu often tells his mother (Suhasini) to allow him to go and participate in reality shows. But Viswanathan doesn't agree with it. When the exam result come, Manu fails. Viswanathan calls him a cheater and slaps him. Manu leaves his house. After two days Viswanathan finds out that Manu is working as a waiter in a hotel. Viswanathan's heart is broken and he becomes a drunkard. But Manu also participates in a reality show.

Nammal is another campus movie from Kamal after Niram. What is different this time is Kamal introduces new faces Siddharth and Jishnu. Kamal provides glimpses of the new campus with adventure in his movie with these debutants. Snehalatha (Suhasini) takes charge as the Principal in a college where Shyam (Siddharth) and Sivan (Jishnu) are the heroes. Shyam and Sivan are fun filled characters as well as naughty. Aparna (Renuka Menon) is teased and ragged by the duo, who happens to be the daughter of Principal's friend. Aparna complaints and Snehalatha takes action against Shyam and Shivan. Soon to her surpurise she discovers that Shyam and Shivan are orphans, hardworking and their guardian is a priest (Balachandra Menon).

A renowned actress, Aswathi, is murdered. When a CBI officer, Sethurama Iyer, investigates the case, he unravels a dark secret about Aswathi which brings forth several complexities.

Vava, son of Kurishuveettil Mariamma, a lawyer popularly known as Vakeelamma. When Vava is selected to head the festivities for the year, the Thekkeyangaadi group objects saying that Vava, born to a Christian Mother and a Brahmin father (Melpathoor Vishnu Narayanan Namboothiri, a singer), was never baptized, and so could not head the festivities. Following this objection Vava decides to get baptized, but Vakeelamma says that he must first seek his father's permission. Vava goes to see his father who is now a renowned singer. He is welcomed by his father's manager Sivankutty, Sivankutty's sister Gayathri and others. But there is someone who wants to see Vava dead. Sivan Kutty kills Namboothiri. Vava kills Sivan for revenge. So for the rituals Vava becomes Brahman. He gets arrested and his mother starts backing up into the fire and dies. Soon after his prison sentence, the warring faction set their difference aside and invite Vava to head the church festivities

Devar Madom Narayanan (Mammootty) is accused of killing his father and for being cruel to his mother. At the age of 13, he serves a sentence at the juvenile home. On returning, he becomes a leader in Perumalpuram village and expels all the wrongdoers. He thus makes many enemies.

A group of four men plan a jewellery heist during a hartal day in Thrissur. After a drunk man unwittingly joins the group, commotion and hilarity ensues.

After a keenly fought election, MKR becomes the new chief minister. When the opponents hire a psychotic killer to assassinate him, Perumal, a crime branch officer, is assigned to stop him.

Hariharan Pillai Happy Aanu movie is all about Hariharan Pillai (Mohanlal) who is a contractor and civil engineer to boot. His crew is Vasu (Jgathy) who is a carpenter, Velappan (Cochin Haneefa) who is supervisor and Sundaran (Salim Kumar) who is a painter. They all lead a happy life till one day Hariharan learns that Satyapalan was cheating him and had no intention of giving back the money he borrowed.Kavya (Jyothrmayi) who is daughter of Satyapalan. She falls in love with Hariharanpillai and helps him in getting his money back.

Nasrani takes us to the Kottayam belt, where rich rubber planters and estate owners live. One such rich planter is David John Kottarathil, popularly known as DK. DK spends most of his time at the Cosmo Club, where he is the secretary too. He has his say over all spheres of human activity. He is respected and feared too.

Ravishankar is a leader of the poor and the oppressed. The 'bad' guys resent him and want him killed. How Ravishankar fights these evil forces with the help of his ladylove, District Collector Kamala (Ramya Krishnan) and ACP Vishnu S Pillai (Biju Menon) is the rest of the story.
