Julia's Curse (2014)

Two kids about ten years old meet within a very peculiar framework: both come from broken families and are in care of foster homes...

Eric, a twelve year old in care and up for adoption, and his close friendship with the older Petia, who has dreams of joining the circus. One weekend Petia is blamed for the misdeeds of Momo and Graf, two other teenagers in care. Once adopted, Eric falls in love for the first time, with his stepsister Marie.

Paula was a brilliant lawyer, defending the most just causes. One day, a man she had just released from prison coldly murders two children. He eats a walnut, which makes him briefly larger, then small. He dances around a lot, ultimately doing a major number with a deck of cards. He dances with the queen, making the king jealous. He comes after Mickey with swords, and Mickey defends himself with a sewing needle. Mickey gets the upper hand, and the king calls for reinforcements. Mickey finds himself chased by several decks, which throw their spots at him. He turns on a fan and blows them away, back through the mirror, where his alarm is ringing.

A collection of artifacts from an archeological dig in Egypt are brought to the famous Louvre museum in Paris, and while experts are using a laser scanning device to determine the age of a sarcophagus, a ghostly spirit escapes and makes its way into the museum's electrical system.

The day she turns 40, Marguerite Flora, a successful rep for a nuclear power company, begins receiving letters she'd sent to herself at age seven. The letters tell her what to do if her life hasn't turned out the way she thought it should, when she was living in poverty with her mother and brother in a small village in southern France. She decides to go back to her birthplace to get the lawyer to stop the letters, but also to visit her childhood sweetheart and her long-forgotten brother, in order to find peace within herself.

A young mouse, mole and hedgehog risk their lives to find a cure for their badger friend, who's been poisoned by men.
