It's Christmas and the 7 Year old Hector is traveling with his parents to France in order to visit his grandmother. He is not pleased because it's always boring there. After his father found that "eternity" is a missing word in his crossword and an old woman described it as a timeless place, Hector writes a letter to the three wise man making the wish that he would rather travel to eternity that to France. His wish comes true.

When a couple of college kids decide to go on a hunting trip for their Christmas break, they get more than they bargained for when their past comes back to haunt them. An undead reindeer has set Mr. and Mrs. Claus on a murderous rampage of revenge- with the entire group as the target. As the group struggles to stay alive and figure out what put them on Santa's Murder List, feelings run high and love triangles are revealed. However, it will take more than love and Christmas cheer to stop the killing. During a fight for survival, the question remains- who killed the reindeer?

A beautiful minimalist string score accompanies this sweet little film. A couple bring an old lady into their home to help her shelter from the thick falling snow, but it turns out to be a fairy who grants them a wish. This uses some effective reverse photography and the simple story works well.

Crystal World is inspired by J.G Ballard’s apocalyptic science fiction novel of the same name where a viral crystal metamorphoses trees, animals, humans and architecture into frozen jewels forever suspended in time and space. The novel is a haunting portrait of a world in which everything is illuminated by prismatic light, a ‘leaking’ of time that causes humans to experience individual moments endlessly looped, repeated and prolonged. My film adapts this concept of crystallization and applies it to fragments from the 1955 film. I reconstruct scenes from Charles Laughton’s iconic film with underwater puppets, which I then crystallize using ammonium phosphate crystals, time-lapse photography, mirrors, prisms, and projectors.
