When an old adversary threatens Rome, the city calls once more on her hero and defender: Coriolanus. But he has enemies at home too. かつてヒーロー映画「バードマン」で一世を風靡した俳優リーガン・トムソンは、落ちぶれた今、自分が脚色を手掛けた舞台「愛について語るときに我々の語ること」に再起を懸けていた。しかし、降板した俳優の代役としてやって来たマイク・シャイナーの才能がリーガンを追い込む。さらに娘サムとの不仲に苦しみ、リーガンは舞台の役柄に自分自身を投影し始める。

多数の映画で共演を続けてきたドンとリーナは、世間から結婚まで噂される人気のスターカップル。しかし実はリーナのわがままな態度にドンは辟易気味。やがて撮影中の新作がサイレントからトーキーへと製作方針を変え、ドンは声質がよくないリーナに代わって、知り合ったばかりであるコーラスガール、キャシーに歌の吹き替えを頼む。出来あがった映画は大好評だが、意地悪なリーナはその手柄を独り占めしようとする。

人間世界とよく似た、動物だけが暮らす世界。コアラのバスターが劇場支配人を務める劇場は、かつての栄光は過去のものとなり、取り壊し寸前の状況にあった。バスターは劇場の再起を賭け、世界最高の歌のオーディションの開催を企画する。極度のアガリ症のゾウ、ギャングの世界から足を洗い歌手を夢見るゴリラ、我が道を貫くパンクロックなハリネズミなどなど、個性的なメンバーが人生を変えるチャンスをつかむため、5つの候補枠をめぐってオーディションに参加する。

売れない女優とジャズピアニストの恋を、往年の名作ミュージカル映画を彷彿させるゴージャスでロマンチックな歌とダンスで描く。オーディションに落ちて意気消沈していた女優志望のミアは、ピアノの音色に誘われて入ったジャズバーで、ピアニストのセバスチャンと最悪な出会いをする。そして後日、ミアは、あるパーティ会場のプールサイドで不機嫌そうに80年代ポップスを演奏するセバスチャンと再会。初めての会話でぶつかりあう2人だったが、互いの才能と夢に惹かれ合ううちに恋に落ちていく。

A diverse group of friends gather for the festive season in a remote lodge but soon plans go awry. One of the friends goes missing and the truth behind why the lodge was booked for the holiday is disclosed. Christmas quickly turns to chaos and a bloody nightmare ensues.
