All the Right Noises (1971)

もうすぐヴァレンタインという季節。平凡な男ジョエルは、恋人クレメンタイン（クレム）と喧嘩をしてしまう。何とか仲直りしようとプレゼントを買って彼女の働く本屋に行くが、クレムは彼を知らないかのように扱い、目の前でほかの男といちゃつく始末。ジョエルはひどいショックを受ける。やがて彼はクレムが記憶を消す手術を受けたことを知る。苦しんだ末、ジョエルもクレムの記憶を消し去る手術を受けることを決心。手術を受けながら、ジョエルはクレムとの思い出をさまよい、やがて無意識下で手術に抵抗し始める。

ブルース・ノーランは、ニューヨーク州バッファローのローカル・テレビ局に勤めるレポーター。アンカーマンの座を目指す彼だったが、それをライバルのエヴァンに奪われ、ショックの余り放送禁止用語を口走ってクビになってしまう。さらにギャングから袋叩きにされ、同棲中の恋人グレースにも不満をぶつける始末。どん底に突き落とされたブルースのポケベルに、翌朝不思議な呼び出しが。彼を待っていたのは、清掃服姿の神だった。神はブルースに自分の役割を譲り、ブルースは全能の力を身につける。

Flighty Emily "Jacks" Jackson works for the British edition of Vogue magazine. 　ホラー映画への出演が続く女優・原瀬京子はこの日、関わった者たちの悲惨な死や行方不明が後を絶たない“呪われた家”をレポートするテレビの特番にゲスト出演した。そしてその夜、フィアンセ・将志の車に乗り家路につく京子。だがその道中、彼の車は首都高速で猫を轢いてしまう。将志は猫の死体を処理せずに車を発進させるが、その時、車内には不気味な存在が紛れ込んでいた。その刹那、車は壁に激突して大破。将志は意識不明の重体に陥り、妊娠していた京子も重傷を負って流産してしまうのだった…。
