The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (2009)

A German-made film based on one of the most famous German novels by Theodor Fontane. Effi Briest is a socially ambitious, 17-year-old German girl who accepts a proposal of marriage from Baron Geert Von Instetten, a much older diplomat. Unfortunately, neither the Baron's family nor anyone in the secluded town she now calls home accept Effi as an equal. Starved for companionship, Effi begins an innocent friendship with a well-known womanizer that may jeopardize her position as the Baron's wife.

結婚の機会をことごとく逃していた32歳の英国人男性チャールズは、彼と同様に結婚とは縁のない仲間たちとその寂しさを分かち合っていたが、そんな彼に大きな変化をもたらしたのは、花婿の付添い人で参加した結婚式での米国人女性キャリーとの偶然の出会いだった。真摯なアプローチが功を奏してベッドを共にしながらも、その場をアッサリと分かれてしまった事に未練を残していたチャールズは、その数ヵ月後の結婚式で再会したキャリーの姿に心を弾ませるのだがーー

19世紀の半ば、スコットランドからニュージーランドへ写真結婚で嫁ぐエイダ。旅のお供は娘のフロラと一台のピアノ。エイダは6歳の時から口がきけず、ピアノが彼女の言葉だった。夫のスチュアートはそのピアノを重すぎると浜辺に置き去りにし、原住民に同化している男ベインズの土地と交換してしまう。ベインズはエイダに“ピアノ・レッスン”をしてくれればピアノを返すというが……。

高名な精神科医のマルコムは、かつて担当していた患者の凶弾に倒れてしまう。リハビリを果たした彼は、複雑な症状を抱えた少年･コールの治療に取り掛かる事に。コールは常人には無い特殊な“第6感”、死者を見る事ができる能力を持っていた｡コールを治療しながら、彼によって自らの心も癒されていくマルコム。そして彼には予想も付かない真実が待ち受けていた･･･｡

小太りの眼鏡っ子、オリーヴの夢は美少女コンテストで優勝すること。地方予選で繰り上げ優勝した彼女は、独自の成功論に取りつかれる父リチャードや母のシェリル、自殺を図ったゲイの伯父フランクらと車で決勝大会の会場を目指す。

一見ゴージャスなカップルだが、実は敵対する国際的組織の殺し屋同士。といえば殺伐とした話のようだが、愛し合う者同士だからこそ楽しい、究極の夫婦ゲンカといえそうなのが本作。「ボーン・アイデンティティー」「フェア・ゲーム」のD・リーマン監督は速いテンポでアクションを畳みかけながら、ブラピとジョリーという2大美男美女スターの顔合わせをコミカルかつオシャレに盛り上げている。

Luise, called Pünktchen, and Anton are closest of friends. Being the daughter of a wealthy surgeon, young Pünktchen lives in a great house. Her mother, who always travels through the world more for public relation reasons than for the social tasks she pretends to fulfill, is never available to her as a mother. Anton, son of a single and sick mother in financial trouble, does his best to help her out of it by working late. Pünktchen decides to help her only friend (as nobody else would anyway) and starts singing in public places. Trouble arises when Anton can't resist stealing a golden lighter and Pünktchen's secret life is discovered by her parents. Two troubled families finally can see the need for actions to be taken.

「欲望の翼」「ブエノスアイレス」のウォン・カーウァイ監督がトニー・レオンとマギー・チャンを主演に迎え、それぞれ家庭を持つ男女の不倫の愛を描いた恋愛ドラマ。1962年、香港。新聞編集者の男性チャウと商社で秘書として働く女性チャンは、同じ日に同じアパートに引っ越してきて隣人になる。やがて2人は互いのパートナーが不倫関係にあることに気づき、時間を共有するように。戸惑いながらも、強く惹かれ合っていくチャウとチャンだったが……。設定の一部や世界観は「欲望の翼」から引き継がれており、さらに2004年製作の「2046」へとつながっていく。第53回カンヌ国際映画祭で最優秀男優賞とフランス映画高等技術委員会賞を受賞。日本では2001年に劇場公開。18年2月、カーウァイ監督の｢欲望の翼｣デジタルリマスター版の公開にあわせて、Bunkamuraル・シネマで特別上映。2022年には4Kレストア版が「WKW4K ウォン・カーウァイ4K」（22年8月19日～シネマート新宿、グランドシネマサンシャイン、シネマシティほか）で上映。
