戦火近づく'40年の仏領モロッコ、カサブランカは、自由を求めて渡米しようとする人々で溢れていた。ナイトクラブを経営するリックの元へ、ナチの手を逃れてここまでやって来た抵抗運動の指導者が現れる。だがその人物の妻は、かつてパリでリックと恋に落ちたイルザだった……。

アメリカとロシアの協力によってカザフスタンの独裁者ラデクがついに逮捕された。命令を下した合衆国大統領マーシャルは、モスクワでの会見でテロには決して屈しないことを宣言し大統領専用機（エアフォース・ワン）で帰途についた。だが、その機内にはロシアのTVクルーを装っていた6人のテロリストが潜入していた。テロリストのリーダー、コルシュノフは乗客乗員を人質に取り、アメリカ政府にラデク釈放を要求する。

生涯を海兵隊に費やした軍曹が、エリート将校を指揮するために戻ってきた。最初はお互いの主張がまるで異なり、あからさまな敵意を剥き出しにするが、やがて将校たちは鬼軍曹に惚れ込んでいき……。
