The film tells the story of Ramón Antonio Brizuela, who since childhood has to deal with rampant violence and the drugs, sex and petty thievery of a Caracas slum. Starting with delinquency, Ramón moves on to serious gang activity and robberies. He grows into a tough, self-confident young man who is hardened to violence. His views change when his fiancée's brother is killed in a robbery.

Crimson Mask is a documentary film by Marco Eisenbarth, that follows German 'Ultra Violence Wrestler' Thumbtack Jack a.k.a. Alexander Bedranowsky in and outside of the wrestling ring. Being much more than a simple career review, the film gives a deep insight beyond the mask of this seemingly violent and insane character that is Thumbtack Jack, who mutilates his opponents with thumbtacks, barbed wire, syringes and even fire. Crimson Mask shows the man on the other side. The changing tone of the film and an ingenious turnaround in the battle of the sexes makes this film a confrontational experience.

The "Sharks" and "Council" defend their territories with their lives. Violence, hatred and brutality are commonplace soundtracked by thrash metal music. As the conflict grows, it comes to the final battle: a man-versus-man duel for Richy (Ralf Richter), the leader of the "Sharks".
