Werner Boote presents an up-close and personal view of the controversial and fascinating material that has found its way into every facet of our daily lives: plastic. He takes us on a journey around the globe, showing that plastics have become a threat for both environment and human health.
バーガーショップで助けたブタをペットとして飼い始め、愛情を注ぐホーマー。ところが、ホーマーのある行動から、スプリングフィールドは絶体絶命の危機に陥ってしまう。町の人々の怒りを買ったホーマーは、家族とともにアラスカへ逃亡する。
ゴジラシリーズ第11作。当時社会問題となっていた公害問題を前面に打ち出し、サイケデリックな映像を取り入れた異色作。ヘドロで汚された駿河湾の河口で巨大なオタマジャクシに似た生物が見つかり、さらには怪物によるタンカー事故が相次いで発生。海洋学者の矢野は、怪物がヘドロと宇宙鉱物から生まれた生命体であると推察する。謎の怪物ヘドラは主食であるヘドロを求めて工業地帯を襲撃し、次第に巨大な怪獣へと変貌していく。硫酸ミストをまき散らし深刻な公害被害により人々が次々と倒れていく中、富士山麓にてゴジラとの決戦が近づく。
太陽風の増加が原因で砂漠化が進み、人類存亡が迫りつつある2044年。人間に代わる労働力としてオートマタと呼ばれる人工知能搭載ロボットが人々の生活に浸透していた。さらに、生命体に危害を加えない、自身で修理・改善しないというルールが製造時に組み込まれており、人間との共存に支障が出ないシステムが確立されていた。そんな中、オートマタ管理者ジャックは彼らが自発的に修理を行っていたのを知って驚く。その首謀者と目的を探る彼だが、思わぬ事実に突き当たる。
