あれから2年－。大学生となったシドニーは、凄惨な事件を忘れ、楽しい学生生活を送っていた。そんな中、事件の顛末を記した本がヒットし、映画化される事に。その映画の試写会場で、かつての事件と酷似した殺人事件が起こる。

ハリウッドでウッズボロー連続殺人事件のその後を描く映画「スタブ3」の撮影が行われていた。しかし、ある日、同作に出演する女優が何者かに惨殺される事件が発生。それを皮切りに次々と撮影現場で殺人事件が起こる。

マスク姿の殺人鬼による凶行から10年、事件を生き延びたシドニー（ネーヴ・キャンベル）は作家となり成功を収めていた。本の宣伝のため故郷へ戻った彼女は、保安官のデューイ（デヴィッド・アークエット）、彼と結婚した元キャスターのゲイル（コートニー・コックス）と再会。しかし、彼女の帰郷を機に2人の女子高生が惨殺され、シドニーの周囲の人々が次々と狙われていく……。
