うだつの上がらないスタンダップ・コメディアン、アルビーは、知り合った美女アニーと意気投合して同棲生活を始めるが、うまくいくのは最初だけ。次第に相手のイヤなところが気になり出した二人の間には見えない溝ができ上がっていた。そしてアニーの前に現れた人気歌手のカリフォルニアへの誘いが二人の仲にピリオドを打つ決定的なものとなった。

常夏の地・ジャマイカから無謀にもボブスレーチームを組んで、88年カルガリー冬季オリンピックに参戦した男たちの実話を描いたスポ根コメディ。幼い頃から100m走でオリンピックを目指していた主人公が選考会で転倒の巻き添えを食い、出場不可能になってしまう。それでもオリンピック出場の夢を見る彼は冬季五輪のボブスレー競技のことを知り、幼なじみのお調子者や転倒事故で同じく夢破れた2人を巻き込んで、過去に2度金メダルを取ったアメリカ人選手をコーチに招いて練習を開始するのだった……。

ロンドンの会員制テニスクラブでコーチとして働きだした、元プロ選手のアイルランド人青年クリス。富豪の御曹司トムの知遇を得たクリスは、その妹クロエと付き合うように。そんな折、クリスの前に魅惑的な女性ノラが出現。トムの婚約者である彼女は、女優として成功するのを夢見る米国人だった。クロエと結婚したクリスの人生が上り調子になるのと対照的に、ノラとトムは別れてしまうが、クリスとノラは不倫をするようになる。

The frustrated housewife Leslie visits an animal shop to purchase a flea-collar. Unknowing that the owner is a werewolf, she accepts his invitation to lunch and later in his apartment. Through a bite in her toe he starts her slow transformation in a werewolf. Home again, she desperately tries to hide the often disgusting process from her family, but her daughter Jennifer and her - from horror magazines well educated - friend recognize what's going on, and help to kill the non-human.

This documentary follows the French soccer team on their way to victory in the 1998 World Cup in France. Stéphane Meunier spent the whole time filming the players, the coach and some other important characters of this victory, giving us a very intimate and nice view of them, as if we were with them.

実在のミドル級ボクサー、ジェイク・ラモッタの栄光と挫折の半生。試合シーンの壮絶な迫力は筆舌に尽くし難く、ボクシング映画としてのクォリティも高いが、あくまでも作品の根底にあるのは、自らの猜疑心によって妻や弟を失う男を描いた人間ドラマ。引退後のシーンのため体重を25キロ増やしてまで破滅型の主人公を演じきったデ・ニーロはアカデミー主演男優賞を受賞。全編のほとんどを占める白黒画面も美しい。

Even his friends tease him and ask him to take up 'Guli Danda' and Kabaddi', while his father makes him work for Uncle Sammy as a truck driver. He is attracted to stunning law student Melissa Winters while her brother, Dan, offers to coach Rajvinder and his team. Unable to get themselves included in any team, they form their own...

Directed by Matt Beauchesne at Irons Brothers Productions, "Scratching the Surface" documents the adventures of Julian, along with friends and fellow professionals Dane Reynolds, Taj Burrow, Dusty Payne, Mick Fanning and others as they spend a year hitting some of the world's most beautiful surf spots. Destinations include South Africa, Australia, Indonesia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, California, Hawaii, France, Spain and Brazil. A large part of the film was also shot in the Mentawai Islands of Indonesia on a boat trip with Dane, Dusty and Taj. "Scratching The Surface" also teamed Julian and Matt with Brain Farm Cinema, whose goal was to evolve the way surf films are made by utilizing helicopters and The Phantom Camera, shooting entirely in HD, and incorporating an energetic and unique soundtrack.
