Shedding new light on a geopolitical hot spot, the film — written and produced by John Maggio and narrated by Korean-American actor John Cho — confronts the myth of the “Forgotten War,” documenting the post-1953 conflict and global consequences.

Near the end of the Korean War, a platoon of U.S. soldiers is captured by communists and brainwashed. Following the war, the platoon is returned home, and Sergeant Raymond Shaw is lauded as a hero by the rest of his platoon. However, the platoon commander, Captain Bennett Marco, finds himself plagued by strange nightmares and soon races to uncover a terrible plot.

When two brothers are forced to fight in the Korean War, the elder decides to take the riskiest missions if it will help shield the younger from battle.

朝鮮戦争を舞台に、3人の軍医が巻き起こす大騒動を描き、カンヌ映画祭で国際グランプリを受賞したロバート・アルトマン監督の傑作ブラック・コメディー。 朝鮮戦争下の移動米軍外科病院に、ホークアイ、デューク、トラッパーの3人の軍医が配属された。腕はピカイチの名医だが、やることなすことすべてにおいて型破り。仕事が終わると、寸暇を惜しんでは猥雑極まりないイタズラに精を出す。 軍規を無視してやりたい放題をし、お固い女性将校をからかうのに夢中になり、彼女に“熱い唇”なるあだ名をつけ彼女のベッドシーンを軍放送で流してみたり、彼女が本当の“金髪”かどうかを確認するため、彼女がシャワーを浴びている小屋を壊したりと院内でハチャメチャな騒動の数々を引き起こしていく。 彼らの仲間である歯科医が“男性的不能”を理由に自殺したいとホークアイに相談する。ホークアイとジョンは彼のために「お別れパーティー」を開くことにするが…。

Based on the long running play by Jang Jin, the story is set in Korea during the Korean War in 1950. Soldiers from both the North and South, as well as an American pilot, find themselves in a secluded and naively idealistic village, its residents unaware of the outside world, including the war.

Korean War, April 1953. Lieutenant Clemons, leader of the King company of the United States Infantry, is ordered to recapture Pork Chop Hill, occupied by a powerful Chinese Army force, while, just seventy miles away, at nearby the village of Panmunjom, a tense cease-fire conference is celebrated.

In 1950, amidst the ravages of the Korean War, Sergeant Süleyman stumbles upon a a half-frozen little girl, with no parents and no help in sight and he risks his own life to save her, smuggling her into his army base and out of harm’s way.

In 1951 ceasefire is declared, but two remaining armies fought their final battle on the front line Towards the end of the Korean War, a South Korean battalion is fiercely battling over a hill on the front line border against the North in order to capture a strategic point that would determine the new border between two nations. The ownership of this small patch of land would swap multiple times each day. Kang is dispatched to the front line in order to investigate the tacit case that’s been happening there.

Follows a soldier trying to gain recognition for comrades who died in 1948, at a turning point in the civil war between the communists and the nationalist forces of the Kuomintang (KMT).

In August 1950, waiting for UN troops to arrive, the South Korean army assembled to protect Nakdong River. Only 71 student-soldiers are left behind to guard the city of Pohang. Now they are on a mission to defend the country from North Korean troops.

太平洋戦争下のフィリピン。マッカーサー将軍が指揮を執る米軍は、日本軍と熾烈な攻防戦を繰り広げていた。ルーズベルト大統領の撤退命令によって一時はオーストラリアへ逃れていたマッカーサーだが、やがて日本軍への逆襲を成功させフィリピンに舞い戻る。そして１９４５年８月、２つの原爆を投下され壊滅状態となった日本は無条件降伏し、マッカーサーはＧＨＱの最高司令官として日本を統治下に置くことになる。

朝鮮戦争中、父親と末の妹と生き別れたドクス（ファン・ジョンミン）は、母親と2人のきょうだいと一緒に避難民として釜山で暮らすことに。まだ幼いながらも家長として家族を守ることを心に誓った彼は、自分のことは後回しにしていつも必死に働いてきた。その後、西ドイツの炭鉱で働き、ベトナム戦争に従軍するなど、ドクスは何度も命の危険にさらされる。

While Jane Holman is driving with her two sons, she accidentally runs into a drifter, Jack McCloud, who breaks his leg. Being responsible, Jane invites Jack, and his dog, to stay at her home until his leg has healed. Jack struggles to adapt their lifestyle, and finds himself loved by the family.

Korean War, September 1950. In order to fight the enemy forces based in the South of the peninsula, General MacArthur orders the start of the Incheon Landing Operation, deploying diversionary attacks in other locations. Without real military forces to spare, 772 very young Korean student soldiers, barely trained, are sent to Jangsari Beach, where they will face a heroic fate and discover the value of friendship. (A sequel to Operation Chromite, released in 2016.)

1968年1月、北朝鮮特殊工作部隊による韓国大統領府襲撃未遂事件が発生。同年4月、韓国政府はその報復として仁川沖のシルミド (実尾島)に死刑囚ら31人の男たちを集め、極秘に金日成暗殺指令を下した。こうして31人は、当時の暦から名付けられた684部隊の特殊工作員として、過酷な訓練を開始する。3年後、優秀な工作員に仕立て上げられた彼らに、いよいよ実行命令が下される。しかし、政府の対北政策は決行目前になって大きく転換、北への潜入に向け行動を開始した部隊に急遽命令の撤回が告げられる。

チャイナタウンで闇貸金業を営む“母（オモニ）”に育てられたイリョン。彼女は生まれた直後にコインロッカーに置き去りにされた女性だった。ハン・ジュニの監督デビュー作である本作は、仁川の暗黒街を舞台に二人の女性の愛憎関係を描いたパワフルな作品である。

Korean War--era veterans and ex-classmates "Gunner" Casselman and "Sonny" Burns reunite upon their return home. Gunner, who spent the war years abroad, is trying to convince his mother that his gal Marty is good enough for him, while Sonny, who was stationed stateside, is torn between loyal Buddy and tempting Gale Ann. As they commiserate, the men realize that they're outgrowing the lives they lived before the war.
