Filmmaker Yoshifumi TSUBOTA is already 41 years old when he is diagnosed with ADHD. Struggling with this diagnosis, he learns that one of his father’s cousins lives with Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD). He spontaneously decides to visit his relative and starts recording their meetings with his camera. Over the course of three years, the two men build up a deep friendship. This documentary about “Makoto-san” is an intimate and touching portrait, putting mental disorders in a critical relation to society.
家でも学校でも居場所のない高校生エヴァン・ハンセン（ベン・プラット）は、ある日自分宛てに書いた手紙を同級生のコナーに持ち去られる。その後コナーは自殺し、手紙を見つけた彼の両親は、文面から息子とエヴァンが友人だったと勘違いする。彼の家族をこれ以上悲しませたくない一心で、思わずエヴァンはコナーと親友だったとうそをつく。彼らに聞かれるままに語ったありもしないコナーとの思い出は、人々を感動させSNSを通じて世界中に広がっていく。
