1965年、サイゴンにやって来た米軍放送の人気DJを通して間接的にベトナム戦争を描いた人間ドラマ。実在のモデル、エイドリアン・クロナウアーに扮したR・ウィリアムスのマシンガン・トークによる破天荒なDJぶりが痛快。ベトナム戦争ものとしては番外編に位置するが、戦場からの視点ではない所が興味深い。

クリスチャン・ベイル、リチャード・ギアら豪華キャスト共演によるボブ・ディランの伝記映画。詩人や映画スター、革命家など、6人の俳優がそれぞれに異なるイメージ像のディランを演じることで、実像に迫っていく。
