酒に酔ったある夜、突然拉致され、テレビだけが置かれた部屋に閉じ込められたジョー・ドーセット。理由もわからぬまま20年に及ぶ監禁生活を強いられたジョーは、ある日突然解放されるが、外界に出ると妻殺しの汚名を着せられていた。自分を陥れた犯人を見つけ出し、復讐を誓うジョーだったが、そんな彼の前に冷酷非道な男が現れる。

A bunch of city slickers from different backgrounds go into the wild mountains to be one with nature, but basically to have a good time. However, a paramilitary group has chosen the same time to go camping. When one of the soldiers thinks their boss has been killed by one of the city slickers, he coaxes his team into exterminating all of them. They will have to rely on their wits and on each other in order to survive.

The Digital World is becoming so overpopulated that the super computer Yggdrasill who governs the Digital World can no longer handle it. Its solution is Project Ark: to wipe out most of inhabitants with the X Program. Yggdrasill chooses a very small percentage to be moved to a new Digital World and then proceeds to destroy the old one. Some Digimon who were not chosen survive anyway, and they move to the new world with a rare gift known as the X Antibody; this antibody changes their appearance and makes them more powerful, while at the same time making them immune to the X Program. No longer in control, Yggdrasill uses the Royal Knights to destroy these X-Digimon, who are outcasts in the new Digital World.

The government has quarantined a small town where either a disease similar to rabies has appeared in the local human population or where (what seems impossible) the dead are beginning to come back to life and attack the living. Having missed most of the evacuation while barricaded inside of an old house, Ben, his younger sister Erin, and their friends remain trapped within the quarantine zone. 100年以上ぶりに現れた超大型巨人に多くの人間が捕食され、生き残ったエレンは調査兵団の一員として外壁修復作戦を決行。しかし巨人に襲われてしまい、アルミンをかばったエレンは巨人に飲み込まれてしまう。その直後、黒髪の巨人が出現し、ほかの巨人たちを攻撃するという謎の行動を見せる。人類の存続を懸けて彼らは巨人たちと戦い続けるが……。
