新居を手に入れたアダムとバーバラの夫婦は、自分たちが事故でもう死んでいることに気付かず、幽霊になったままその家に住み続け、しばらくしてその事実を知る。人間には空家に思えるその家に、オカルト好きの少女リディアら人間の一家が引っ越してくる。アダムたちは一家を脅して家から追い出そうとするが効果はない。アダムたちは呼ばないほうがいいといわれる人間退治が得意なゴースト、ビートルジュースを呼んでしまう。

修道院でキリスト像から血が流れる奇怪な事件が発生。ニーマンス警視が捜査を開始する中、像と同じ体勢をとらされた男性の他殺体が見つかる。一方、麻薬事件を捜査する若手刑事レダは、キリストに似た傷だらけの男と遭遇し、彼を病院に運ぶ。ニーマンスは修道院の被害者が病院に搬入された男の仲間と知り、レダと共同で捜査に当たることに。やがて事件の背後に“黙示録の天使たち”を名乗る謎の組織があることが明らかになる。

Navy Lt. Tom Farrell meets a young woman, Susan Atwell , and they share a passionate fling. Farrell then finds out that his superior, Defense Secretary David Brice, is also romantically involved with Atwell. When the young woman turns up dead, Farrell is put in charge of the murder investigation.
