将来有望な若手政治家デヴィッドは、ある日エリースという美しいバレリーナと‘運命的’に出逢い、一目惚れする。しかし次の瞬間、突如現れた「アジャストメント・ビューロー（運命調整局）」と呼ばれる男たちによってデヴィッドは拉致されてしまう。彼らの目的は、本来‘恋に落ちる予定ではなかったデヴィッドとエリースを引き離し「運命の書」に記述された運命に従わせることだった。

主人公のティンは、イーサーン地方の村の住人。村の守護神として大事にされてきた「オンバク」と呼ばれる仏像の頭部が盗まれてしまう。これを取り戻すために、ティンは村の代表としてバンコクへ向かい、同郷出身のジョージと協力してギャング達と闘う。
