1965年、サイゴンにやって来た米軍放送の人気DJを通して間接的にベトナム戦争を描いた人間ドラマ。実在のモデル、エイドリアン・クロナウアーに扮したR・ウィリアムスのマシンガン・トークによる破天荒なDJぶりが痛快。ベトナム戦争ものとしては番外編に位置するが、戦場からの視点ではない所が興味深い。

大スター、マイケル・ジャクソンには、誰にも知られていない秘密があった。歌やダンスで世界中を魅了するマイケルは仮の姿、本当のマイケルは愛の守護神コスモから遣わされた使者、ムーンウォーカーだったのだ。ある日、子どもたちとピクニックに出掛けたマイケルは、偶然にも子どもを狙う悪の組織の存在を知り子どもたちを救うために戦う。

若いが唄も踊りもこなすスター、サリー。彼女は、性格も生き方も全くかみ合わないロンドンから来た語学生ブライアンと知り合い、恋に落ちる。そんな中、2人の間に金持ちでハンサムなマクシミリアンという貴族の青年が入ってくる。

ニューヨークに住むパプキンは人気コメディアン、ジェリー・ラングフォードの大ファン。ある日、やはり熱狂的なラングフォード・ファンであるマーシャと知り合い、2人で大胆な作戦をくわだてる。なんとラングフォードを誘拐し、替わりにパプキンがTVショーに出演しようというのだ。ラングフォードを縛りあげ、TV局に向かうパプキンだが……。

1932～33年にニューヨークで、1933～34年にロンドンで好評を得たドワイト・テイラー作のミュージカル・コメディー「陽気な離婚」の映画化で、脚色には「ラジオは笑う」「その夜」の小ジョージ・マリオン・ジュニアと「ふるさとの唄」のドロシ・ヨーストが共同し、監督には「メリケン万歳爆走の巻」「レヴュー艦隊」のマーク・サンドリッチが当たった。主役は「空中レヴュー時代」に出演したフレッド・アステアたジンジャー・ロジャースのチームで「坊やが盗まれた」「紐育・ブロードウェイ」のアリス・ブラディ、「生活の設計」「恋の手ほどき(1933)」のエドワード・エヴァレット・ホートンが共演するほか、エリック・ローズ、エリック・ブローア、ウィリアム・オースティン等が助演している。舞踏振り付けは「空中レヴュー時代」「レヴュー艦隊」のデーヴ・ゴールドで、撮影は「舗道」「お蝶夫人」のデイヴィット・エーベルで、トリック撮影は「コングの復讐」のヴァーノン・ウォーカーが担当。

With a randy Major owning the site, a snobbish mother, and the two professors' constant innuendos, the film ends with a sinking caravan site and a striptease performance as a replacement for the cabaret night.
