The simple story has the pair coming to the rescue of peace-loving Mormons when land-hungry Major Harriman sends his bullies to harass them into giving up their fertile valley. Trinity and Bambino manage to save the Mormons and send the bad guys packing with slapstick humor instead of excessive violence, saving the day.

The sole survivor of a bloody massacre vows revenge on his attackers and on the men who killed his wife.

鞍を背負い、棺桶を引きずり歩く流れ者ジャンゴ（フランコ・ネロ）は、底なし沼の前で男たちに鞭打たれている女マリア（ロレダナ・ヌシアック）を、得意の早撃ちで彼女を救う。二人はマリアが逃げ出した村へやってくるが、村はジャクソン少佐（エドゥアルド・ファヤルド）率いる元南軍兵士と、ウーゴ将軍（ホセ・ボダロ）率いるメキシコ革命軍との抗争によりゴーストタウンと化していた。両軍から裏切り者とされたマリアは村の厄介者だ。ジャンゴは、彼女を取り戻しにやってきたジャクソン少佐を一掃すると、ウーゴ将軍相手に、メキシコ政府軍の駐屯地から黄金を奪おうと持ちかける…。

At the beginning of the 1913 Mexican Revolution, greedy bandit Juan Miranda and idealist John H. Mallory, an Irish Republican Army explosives expert on the lam from the British, fall in with a band of revolutionaries plotting to strike a national bank. When it turns out that the government has been using the bank as a hiding place for illegally detained political prisoners -- who are freed by the blast -- Miranda becomes a revolutionary hero against his will.
