A young man starts off on a quest for happiness and is told to head south by a wise astrologer. He later arrives at an ancient castle where two mysterious women live, Tsuki and Yuki. Both women fall in love with the young man. Meanwhile, the young man must face his destiny.

The story of the silk industry and the young girls who worked as silk spinners in the early 1900s in Japan. The silk mills were located in Okaya which lies just beyond the Nomugi Pass. The women and girls worked in a hot, humid atmosphere without rest, and endured those conditions and sexual harassment to earn money for their poor families. Across the ocean, it was the great depression in America.

Suicide has long been used as a form of social protest in Japan. In this film, set in 1703, samurai culture is being transformed by the emergence of a new merchant class. Elements of the social contract are beginning to unravel, and some unscrupulous people took undue advantage of these changes before the social order was re-created. In this story, a rich merchant gives his clerk an I.O.U. instead of wages. When the impoverished clerk presents the paper to the merchant at the agreed upon time asking for payment, the man flies into a rage and pretends he never wrote it and claims the clerk is trying to defraud him. Then he sets his henchmen on the clerk to administer a beating.

世界で初めて農民を組織したといわれる大原幽学を主人公に、笹川繁蔵、平手造酒、飯岡助五郎など浪曲でお馴じみの「天保水滸伝」をからませて、その時代に生きた人間群像を描く。脚本は「わが青春のとき」の山内久、監督は「不毛地帯」の山本薩夫、撮影は「君よ憤怒の河を渉れ」の小林節雄がそれぞれ担当。

西村寿行の同名小説を原作としたサスペンスアクション作品。 検事の杜丘冬人は新宿の雑踏で見知らぬ女から「金品を盗まれ強姦された」と告発され緊急逮捕されてしまう。他の男も「カメラを盗まれた」と供述、逮捕に必要な証拠も揃っていた。自分にかけられた罠を取り除くため、現場検証の場から逃走を図る冬人。女の正体をつかみ彼女の郷里へ向かうが、すでに女は殺されており、冬人は殺人犯として追われることに。日高山中に逃げ延びた冬人は、自分をはめた真犯人が政界の黒幕である長岡了介ではないかと思い始める。

昭和39年夏、与党・民政党の総裁選挙が行なわれ、現総裁にして内閣総理大臣の寺田政臣と最大派閥の領袖・酒井和明の一騎討ちとなった。数で劣る寺田総理が率いる寺田派は党内切っての実力者で副総理・広野大悟の派閥と協調して必勝を図った。その段階において両陣営とも票集めに10億円以上の実弾を投入した。中には広野派の神谷直吉代議士のように両陣営からちゃっかり戴く者もいた。激烈な選挙は僅差で寺田の三選で幕を閉じた。 それから数日後、金融業を営む石原参吉の元に内閣官房の西尾貞一郎が訪れ、星野康雄官房長官（寺田派）の名刺を持参したうえで秘密裏に資金を用立てて欲しいと告げる。ところが石原はこの申し出を断るものの星野の名刺を持ち去る。金融王として裏の世界を渡り歩いた石原は直感的に星野の周辺に何らかの疑惑があることを思いつき、星野の周辺を洗い出し始めた。その過程で寺田総理の郷里・九州の福流川ダム建設を目論む竹田建設と発注元の電力開発株式会社（小説では電力建設株式会社）若松圭吉副総裁の一派の談合と汚職の存在が浮かび上がる。

精油所の技師河合譲治は酒も煙草も麻雀もやらず、上役や同僚から無類の竪物と思われているが、実は秘かにナオミという女を飼育していた。ナオミはまだ少女の面影を残しているが、譲治は理想の女を作りあげようと奇妙な執念をナオミにそそぎ、そして、ナオミと結婚した。譲治はナオミに教養をつけさせようと、ピアノやイタリア語を習わせたが、ナオミは学生の浜田や熊谷らのボーイフレンドと遊びまわり、勉強はそっちのけだった。そのうえ、ナオミがボーイフレンドの誰彼の見境もなく身を任せているという噂がたった。

Toramatsu is a very enthusiastic policeman. Believing that the police should help others he is dismissed the force when his pistol is stolen while doing one of his good deeds. He saves a child from drowning, restores it to his mother, then finds that someone has run off with his gun and later uses it to kill. Then he breaks up a group of hoodlums attacking a young girl named Mieko, and the police, his former friends, deciding he has gone too far, decide to sue him. On top of this the girl gets hurt and, consequently, a child from the kindergarten where Mieko teaches is kidnapped on his way home. Impersonating a policeman he tracks down the gangsters and rescues the boy. Due to this he also uncovers a scandal which allows the police to make a long due clean up in the political world. As a reward for all of this he wins the regard of the girl but now faces a stiff prison sentence for impersonating the policeman he had been and which, at heart, he truly remains.

Onna no Toba, is the first film in long-running series Daiei Studio's Woman Gambler with Kyoko Enami starring where she plays the woman gambler Ogin. The series gets cited on lists of action yakuza films or woman avenger films, but once the films are actually viewed, it is quickly obvious they are not generally about action except in the nominal sense of acts of gambling. And while Ogin is in fact sometimes motivated by revenge, she is not as a rule a martial artist or a killer, & this series tends to place its female hero as far away from the "action babe" method as she can get. Ogin is an honest dealer in the criminal underworld of yakuza-run gambling. She is samurai-like in that she sets out to become Japan's number one dealer, much as a samurai might go on his "warrior's pilgrimage" to become Japan's number one swordsman.

三上於菟吉の同名時代小説を、伊藤大輔と衣笠貞之助が脚色、和田夏十がシナリオ化し、市川崑がメガホンをとった。1935年版に主演した長谷川一夫が、再び中村雪之丞と闇太郎の二役を演じた。その他、山本富士子や若尾文子、市川雷蔵、勝新太郎など豪華な出演者が顔をそろえた。長谷川一夫300本記念作品。 　江戸で興行を張る上方歌舞伎の女形役者・中村雪之丞は、父を冤罪で陥れ自死に至らしめた土部三斎と広海屋の姿を認めた。三斎の娘の浪路は雪之丞に恋をし、雪之丞は彼女を利用して父の仇を討とうとする。江戸の飢饉に乗じて米を買い占めていた川口屋は、雪之丞にそそのかされた広海屋に邪魔され破産、広海屋に放火した。怒った広海屋は川口屋を絞め殺すが、誘拐しようとした浪路に刺されてしまう。

増村保造、市川崑、吉村公三郎という、大映が誇る三大監督によるオムニバス映画。主演の三大女優による競演も話題に。第10回ベルリン国際映画祭コンペティション部門で上映。 「耳を噛みたがる女」銀座のキャバレーでホステスをしている紀美は、客から金を巻き上げては株に投資をしていた。紀美を落とせるか友人と賭けをしていた会社社長の跡取り息子の正巳は、彼女をドライブに誘い出すことに成功する。 「物を高く売りつける女」失踪した流行作家の三原は、湘南の海岸で白い肌の女と出会う。数日後、一軒の別荘の前で彼女と再会した三原は、売りに出しているというその家を、彼女ごと買い取ると申し出た。 「恋を忘れていた女」かつて売れっ子芸妓だったお三津は、京都で修学旅行専門の宿と、酒場とお茶屋を経営する働き者だ。亡くなった夫の妹が結婚資金を借りに訪れるが、財産を横取りされると思ったお三津は、彼女を帰してしまう。

大岡昇平の同名小説を、和田夏十が脚色し市川崑が監督した反戦映画。病院にも部隊にも見放された田村は、フィリピン戦線のレイテ島をさまよっていた。同じように敗走している仲間と病院の前で合流するが、その病院が砲撃を受けたため、田村は一人で逃げ出す。食べるものもなく、仲間を失った田村は、草を食べて生き延びていた。やがて生き別れたかつての仲間である永松と安田と再会。二人は殺した味方の兵士を“猿”と称し、その肉を食べていた…。

警官の汚職事件の記事を書いた長子は、それが原因で出版社をクビになってしまった。偽の失踪事件を自分で起こしてそのルポを書くことにするのだが、現金横領事件に巻き込まれてしまい…。
