カリフォルニアの砂漠のリゾート地パーム・スプリングスを舞台にしたタイムループ・ラブコメディ。パーム・スプリングスで行われた結婚式に出席したナイルズと花嫁の介添人のサラ。ナイルズのサラへの猛烈なアタックから2人は次第にロマンティックなムードになるが、謎の老人に突然弓矢で襲撃され、ナイルズが肩を射抜かれてしまう。近くの洞窟へと逃げ込むナイルズとサラは、洞窟の中で赤い光に包まれ、目覚めると結婚式当日の朝に戻っていた。状況を飲み込むことができないサラがナイルズを問いただすと、彼はすでに何十万回も「今日」を繰り返しているという。「ブリグズビー・ベア」のアンディ・サムバーグが主人公サム役を演じ、「ウルフ・オブ・ウォールストリート」に出演したクリスティン・ミリオティ、「セッション」でアカデミー助演男優賞を受賞したJ・K・シモンズらが顔をそろえる。監督は本作が長編監督デビューとなるマックス・バーバコウ。

サラは手芸用品店で働いており、休日は趣味の乗馬を楽しむ生活を送っていた。しかし、そんなサラの幸福な日常はある日を境にして崩れ始めた。その日以来、サラは悪夢に苛まれるようになり、ほどなくして夢遊病の症状が出るに至ったのである。サラの精神状態は悪化の一途を辿り、ついには「自分は祖母のクローンであり、エイリアンに誘拐されたことがある」と主張するようになった。 本作は現実と妄想の区別が徐々につかなくなっていくサラの姿を描き出す作品である。

The film is an exploration of idealism and apathy in today's youth culture and the vestiges of the social consciousness of the 1960s. In a climactic scene shot at a real anti-war protest in Washington D.C., Estlin must come to terms with what has been lost, what still remains and where he must go from here.
