In 1957, Evan Rendell flees after his father is lynched for killing multiple patients in his effort to find a replacement heart for his ailing wife. After 35 years, Evan escapes from a mental institution and returns to town for revenge, killing off residents one by one. When Jennifer and her friends break into the Rendell house out of morbid curiosity, Evan notices Jennifer has a heart condition similar to his mother and decides to make her his final victim.

A small-town car thief and his transvestite wife come across an abandoned infant; they amputate his tongue and train him for a life in crime.

A music video compilation was also released by A&M Records alongside the album. It contained (in order) music videos for "Stay" and "Just Another Day" from Dead Man's Party, "Gratitude" from So-Lo, "Little Girls" from Only a Lad, "Nothing Bad Ever Happens" from Good for Your Soul, and "Private Life" from Nothing to Fear.

"Video Voodoo" is a VHS tape released in 1987 by The Residents. It is a collection of videos made from 1975 to 1986. It also contains snippets from their earlier VHS, "Whatever Happened To Vileness Fats?/The Mole Show". The VHS is one of the two places to find the "Earth Vs. The Flying Saucers" video.
