ルパン、次元、五エ門の3人はドイツのプローラに潜入し、かつて日本がナチス・ドイツと同盟を結んでいた当時に友好の証としてアドルフ・ヒトラーへ提供された「地獄如来像」を盗み出す計画を実行。大規模な警備をものともせずに像を盗み出し、銭形の追跡から逃れようとしていた途中、像を狙うモルガーナの戦闘ヘリに襲撃される。ヘリのミサイル攻撃からルパンは辛くも逃げ切るが、銭形は爆炎に巻き込まれてしまい、煙の中から彼のトレードマークの帽子だけが転がり出てきた。後日、銭形の葬儀がしめやかに行われた。ルパン達は自分達なりの方法で銭形の冥福を祈り、再び動き出す。

不二子の頼みで、どんな願いも叶う「魔法のランプ」を手に入れたルパン。しかし銭形の妨害により、次元との待ち合わせ場所から遠ざかってしまう。ルパンは「擦れば魔人が出てきて助けてくれるのでは?」と冗談半分でランプを擦ると、ランプから妖精と名乗る美女が出てきて願いを叶えてくれるという。ただし、人生の半分を失ってしまうと言うリスクを聞いた途端、突然ルパンは見知らぬ場所におり、半日分の記憶を失ってしまう。
