Haruomi Hosono

Kanae's husband disappeared without a trace while on a union trip. Though usually headstrong and independent, the woman becomes plagued with worry over what happened to him, and is unable to move on with her life. Thus, Kanae decides to hire a private investigator, and keeps running the public bathhouse to the best of her abilities. As he tries to figure out the truth about her husband, Kanae must deal with the stress from a work-intensive job, meddlesome neighbors, and recurring nightmares in which she is drowning.

A documentary about Haruomi Hosono, a musician respected around the world and the music composer of Cannes Palme d'Or winner Shoplifters. The footage traces his encounter with music in early childhood to his days in bands Happy End and YMO to his solo activities. It also includes in-depth coverage from recent years of his first overseas performances in London, New York and Los Angeles. In London, he was joined by Yukihiro Takahashi, and when Ryuichi Sakamoto made a surprise appearance onstage, the YMO members were reunited for the first time in five years, a must-see spectacle captured on film. A live performed on August 5, 2011 at NHK 101 Studio in Shibuya, Tokyo. Yellow Magic Orchestra, who has almost never done a studio live, played "RYDEEN", "FIRECRACKER", "COSMIC SURFIN", and others, in front of about 1,000 spectators selected by lottery. Keigo Oyamada, Tomohiko Gondo, and Christian Fennesz participated as support members.

37歳の僕は、ハンブルク空港に到着した飛行機のBGMでビートルズの「ノルウェーの森」を聴き、激しい混乱を覚えた。そして学生時代のことを回想した。 直子とはじめて会ったのは神戸にいた高校2年のときで、直子は僕の友人キズキの恋人だった。3人でよく遊んだが、キズキは高校3年の5月に自殺してしまった。その後、僕はある女の子と付き合ったが、彼女を置いて東京の私立大学に入学し、右翼的な団体が運営する学生寮に入った。僕のやるべきことは、あらゆる物事と自分の間にしかるべき距離を置くことだった。

Asako, a comic book artist in her early forties, is devastated by the death of her precious cat, Saba, which kept her company for over 15 years, as her assistant Naomi watches on with concern. Naomi is a young woman in her early twenties, who has her set of worries about love and future. Then one day, Asako meets a new cat, Gu Gu, which brings new joy and vitality to her life. Taking place shortly before the resumption of Japanese sovereignty over Okinawa, Takamine’s film tacitly addresses the island prefecture's complicated history of occupation and feelings of dislocation through the story of a small community and its preparations for a wedding between a local girl and a Japanese teacher. On the periphery of these events is Reishu (Kaoru Kobayashi), who quits his job on a US military base and uses the extra time to catch snakes and play with ants – and get the bride-to-be pregnant. Takamine’s leisurely-paced film is full of uniquely Okinawan touches that mix in aspects of the island's folklore, accompanied by Haruomi Hosono’s spare and evocative score.

山口瞳の小説を降旗康男が映画化。函館で居酒屋「兆治」を営む藤野英治。輝くような青春を送り、挫折と再生を経て現在に至っている。かつての恋人で、今は資産家と一緒になった「さよ」の転落を耳にするが、現在の妻茂子との生活の中で何もできない自分と、振り払えない思いに挟まれていく。周囲の人間はそんな彼に同情し苛立ち、さざなみのような波紋が周囲に広がる。「煮えきらねえ野郎だな。てめえんとこの煮込みと同じだ」と学校の先輩の河原に挑発されても、頭を下げるだけの男。そんな夫を見ながら茂子は、人が人を思うことは誰にも止められないと呟いていた。

A domestic live tour in 1981 when YMO released two masterpiece albums, "BGM" and "Technodelic". A live concert filmed at the Shinjuku Koma Theater, "WINTER LIVE 1981" focuses on songs from "BGM" and "Technodelic" and symbolizing the mid-term YMO catalogue along with artistic performing art. The audio is also remastered, giving the viewer a more realistic feel.

The Taisho era was a time of turbulence in Japan. From new marks of modernity to full-blown riots, a sense of revolution filled the air. The Dam Dam Group is a small anarchist organization lead by Daijiro, a silver tongued "Benshi", a performer who provides narratives for silent films, playing multiple roles. In other words, he was a master at the art of deception, a handy talent when it came to 'doing jobs' for his group. His revolutionary ideals attracted many to his squadron, but among them was a young girl who was oblivious to his group's activities. Her name was Shino.

A recorded performance of Yellow Magic Orchestra's second and last show at the Tokyo Dome, filmed on June 11th, 1993.

1993年6月10、11日に東京ドームで行われたライヴ映像。アルバム『テクノドン』に収録されている全曲と、斬新なアレンジを施された往年の曲が演奏、収録。演奏に合わせてステージ上の巨大スクリーンに映像作家・原田大三郎によるコンピュータグラフィックスが映し出された。
