This project, a fusion of poetry, music, and movies, gives birth to a new style of filmmaking, through the work of five directors.

After the Great Kanto earthquake in 1923, a troupe of female sumo wrestlers arrive in Tokyo.

東京で雑誌モデルを務める望月夏芽は、急に父親の郷里である浮雲町に転居することになる。彼女は都会とはかけ離れた田舎での地味な生活に幻滅してしまうが、長谷川航一朗と出会ったことで人生が一変する。彼は田舎町で有名な神主の一族の出身で、夏芽はひねくれ者で一風変わった航一朗に強く惹き付けられる。

かつての栄光と名声も遠い過去のものとなり、いまやすっかり落ちぶれて孤独を心の内に抱えながら、鬱屈とした日々を過ごすベテラン映画監督の古谷。久々の新作となる低予算映画の現場で、主演女優の安里がわがままをとなえて、撮影がストップ。結局、安里は主役の座を下り、映画自体も製作中止に追い込まれる事態に。そんな折、彼が講師を務める映画学校の教え子・結花と街で偶然出会った古谷は、彼女の部屋に転がり込む。

Ken, an AD at an infomercial company, and their program host, Tada, are both suddenly caught up in pro wrestling started by their company president, Sakaguchi. To save the fate of his company, Sakaguchi decides to start a new program, combining pro wrestling and infomercials as he sees something special in Ken's wrestling... Aoi, a coworker and Ken's girlfriend, become troubled by not being able to accept Ken's excitement over his wrestling.

Omnibus film that tells five stories from a radio station and its listeners.

December 30th, 2017. Two years before the Tokyo Olympics, due to a revision of the Constitution, a National Defense Force is created in Japan and it starts military operations. In an incineration plant, a dog goes lost, but when Tani goes looking for him, she finds nothing. In the plant, Yanais takes down the Christmas decorations and replaces them with the ones for New Year. Gou, addicted to survival games, comes to the plant during the night and starts playing video games with Ken, even if it is his day off. In the meantime, Adachi is just watching their game to kill time. However, all these men share similar problems: pregnancy, adultery, family issues and a friend who died in the war. Meanwhile, Tani, who is troubled with her immoral relationship with Adachi, begins to feel that her father, who was the plant’s manager and is supposed to be dead, seems to be around somehow.

Akira Okuda worked as an assistant at the Visual Concept Planning Department of Kanagawa University of Arts, accomplishing his work aimlessly without passion. Sorrounded by students who continually caused problems and professors who cared only about their position in the university. One day, three students attempted to steal film equipment from the vault. Fearing the news would reach the university office, the professors ordered Akira to cover up the attempted theft. But, little did he know more was about to happen...

Just after the Pacific War, an impoverished rural family (they use the wing of a combat plane as their dining table) thwarts the ambition of its younger son Daikichi to be a novelist.

Born and raised in Kumamoto, Mine Goichi went to Tama Art University and spent four student years living in the Yuhigakusha Dormitory in Tokyo, a rather basic home-away-from-home for kids from Kumamoto. It’s not much of a stretch to see The Kumamoto Dormitory as a piece of disguised autobiography, shot through with documentary elements. It centres on two slackers in the dorm: Daikichi (played by Mine himself) wants to be a movie stunt-man, while his friend Tenshi (Iida Kaoru, who also acts in All Day) is an aspiring director. But the films they talk about while drinking are never going to get made, and Daikichi’s one-night-stand with a girl who believed his bullshit jeopardizes his most daring stunt: a jump from a rooftop with his feet tied.
