Young Cuban Rafael just buried his mother, and comes to Houston to meet his father John for the first time. The difficult part is that John doesn't know he is Rafael's father. John runs a dance studio, and everyone prepares for the World Open Dance championship in Las Vegas. It soon becomes clear Rafael is a very good dancer, and Ruby is the biggest hope for the studio at the championship.

定年退職間近の刑事サマセットと新人のミルズは、ある殺人現場に向かう。そこには肥満の大男の凄惨な死体があった。またほどなくして、今度はビジネスマンの死体が発見される。サマセットはそれぞれの現場に残されていた文字から、犯人がキリスト教における七つの大罪(傲慢・嫉妬・憤怒・怠惰・強欲・暴食・色欲)に因んだ殺人に及んでいると分析、残るは5件となった。事件を未然に防ごうと犯人の特定を急ぐ2人。やがて一人の男が容疑者に浮上、しかし接近するも取り逃がし、さらなる犠牲者を出してしまう。そんな中、大罪に沿った犯行が残り2件となったところで、犯人を名乗る男が自首して来るのだが…。

Throughout the course of the season, Henry and his teammates attempt to deal with Bruce's impending illness, all the while attempting to make his last year a memorable one.
