Inspired by true events, this is a film about a childhood friendship, torn apart by the horrific Hamidian massacres infiltrated by the Ottoman Empire under the rule of Sultan Abdul Hamid II (1894-1896).
The main character of the film is an actor Lorik who lives in his fantasy world of played roles. Sometimes he can be Cyrano de Bergerac or King Richard. However, his main role, unperformed on the stage, but leading his life is the role of Rabbit from “Alice in Wonderland”: Lorik doesn’t perceive the facts of real life and is afraid of being himself, so he hides under the masks of his characters. But the metamorphoses which soon begin to happen with Lorik completely change his mindset, attitude towards life and people. Now his main goal is to save a little ill girl named Asya...
It's been 10 years since 23-year-old Eve (Sona Tatoyan) left her homeland of Armenia and immigrated to New York City with her parents. Eve struggles to pursue her passion as a photographer, but tragedy strikes when she learns that Arman, her childhood friend in Armenia, has been killed. Unexpectedly, Eve gets called on an assignment to photograph the events taking place in the Caucasus and finds herself on a journey that changes her life.
Builder Hovsep Manukyan's big and restless family hosts his old father Poghos who is forced to move from his native village.
