サッカーとバスケットボールの要素を織り交ぜた新スポーツ「ポケモン・バッカーズ」のワールドカップが開かれるクラウンシティを目指していたサトシ達は、その道中でヤルキモノの集団に追い詰められていたポケモン・ゾロアと出会う。ゾロアはテレパシーを使い、「マァを助けに行く」とサトシ達に言う。ピカチュウ達の説得もあって、サトシ達はゾロアに協力する事を決め、ゾロアと共にクラウンシティへと向かった。 しかしサトシ達がクラウンシティに着いた時、街の旧市街に繋がる橋が全て封鎖されていた。伝説のポケモンであるライコウ・エンテイ・スイクンが悪のポケモン・ゾロアークに操られて暴れているのだという。そこへ巨大企業コーダイネットワークの社長・コーダイが旧市街に立ち入らないようにとモニターで勧告を出していた。しかし、その暴れているゾロアークこそがゾロアの探していた「マァ」だったのだ。

Kiku-chan to Ookami is, like most of the Sensou Douwa specials, based on a short story by Nosaka Akiyuki. It is set in the Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo (the Chinese province of Manchuria) during the closing days of Word War II. Life for the Japanese colonists is tranquil, with none of the hazards and shortages occurring in the Japanese homeland. Then, on August 9, 1945, the Soviet Union, fulfilling its obligations to the Western Allies, declares war and invades. The local Kwantung Army folds up like a house of cards, leaving the Japanese colonists exposed to the invading Russians and Chinese.

大場つぐみ原作によるTVアニメシリーズのディレクターズカット版。原作、実写版にもなかった死神・リュークの視点、死神たちの回想で物語が展開する。ライトの死後、彼を超える人間の出現を待つリュークがライトと繰り広げた殺戮の日々を振り返る。

Charmander's voice calls out from the darkness if Squirtle is okay. The sleeping boy wakes up, and can't believe himself when he sees a talking Charmander. Charmander then points out that he's a Pokémon too. The boy takes a look at his reflection at a river besides him, and sees that it is true! He has turned into a Squirtle, and has no recollection at all how this had happened.
