Screenplay
Adapted from the novel "Yu-san no Nyobo ~ Mou Hitori no Ishihara Yujiro" by Muramatsu Tomomi, this NHK / BS4K one -shot drama tells a love story of a woman who continues to be the "wife" of superstar Ishihara Yujiro.

男女逆転の世が誕生した三代将軍家光の時代から30年。時は元禄、才能と美貌を備えた五代将軍綱吉(菅野美穂)の時代。徳川の治世は最盛期を迎えていたが、大奥では後継者を巡って正室と側室の激しい派閥争いが起こっていた。そこに、貧しい公家の出身ながらも並外れた才気を認められ、京から右衛門佐(堺雅人)という男が大奥入りを果たす。やがて右衛門佐は、類いまれなる野心と才覚で巧みに綱吉に取り入り、総取締として大奥での権勢を掌中に収めていった。一方、一人娘の松姫を亡くした綱吉は、政から遠ざけられ世継ぎ作りに専念。だが、夜ごと大奥の男たちと閨を共にするが一向に懐妊しない綱吉は、陰謀渦巻く大奥で孤独と不安に苛まれていく。妄執にとらわれた父・桂昌院(西田敏行)に従い“生類憐みの令”を発令するも、国は乱れていくばかり。そんな中、運命に翻弄され、生きる気力をも失った綱吉に手を差し伸べたのは、人知れず綱吉を見守り続けていた右衛門佐だった。出逢いから数十年。愛よりも権力に生きたかった男と、徳川家という宿命に生きる定めを負った女将軍が手を取り合う。果たして世の中は、再び天下泰平を取り戻すことができるのか……。

Mieko (Hitomi Kuroki) is a housewife with some problems. Her husband (Masahiko Nishimura) is indifferent to her and her daughter Sayako (Hiroko Kurisaki) refuses to go to school. One day, Mieko meets Kaori (Tae Kimura) who is divorced. Mieko and Kaori worked at a same company years ago. Kaori tells Mieko that how she was swindled out of money by a man and, because of this, Mieko loans money to Kaori. Due to the loan, Mieko, herself, begins to do part-time work at a convenience store. While at work, Mieko catches a shoplifter Yukimi (Shizuyo Yamazaki) in the convenience store. It turns out, Mieko and Yukimi get along great. Mieko, Yukimi and Kaori decide to go to a karaoke room together. At the karaoke bar, the women hear the song "Smoke On The Water" by Deep Purple and decide to form a rock band!

Born into a wealthy family, 17-year-old Masato (Emoto Tasuku) has never been deprived of material comforts, but his distant relationship with his parents leaves him empty and rebellious. Telling himself that his real mother is actually a woman who kidnapped him as an infant, Masato takes off to Okinawa to find her. Curious to learn more about her (Matsuyuki Yasuko), he ends up staying to work at her restaurant. As the two grow closer over time, an ambiguous relationship develops, not quite mother and son, not quite lovers.

大崎善生の同名の小説を映画化した切ないラブストーリー。ようやく自分の大切な相手に巡り合ったものの、彼らに残された時間はわずかだった。愛する人の最期と向き合う主人公を演じるのは『バルトの楽園（がくえん）』や人気テレビドラマ「結婚できない男」に出演するなど、映画やテレビに引っ張りだこの阿部寛。相手役はテレビドラマ「タイヨウのうた」の松下奈緒。二人が最後の日々を過ごすニースの街の美しい風景が胸にしみる。現役の音大生でもある松下による、透明感のあるピアノ演奏は要チェック。
Screenplay
人付き合いが苦手な３５歳の主婦・佐夜子。再就職先の会社で同い歳の独身社長・葵と知り合う。いじめを経験しながらも開けっぴろげに振る舞う葵と人間関係に臆病になっていた佐夜子。性格が正反対の２人は、本当の友人になれるのか。
