Plastic Jesus

Tom is a young guy from Zagreb, completely without money, trying to make films in Belgrade. He somehow manages to survive with a help of women. He doesn't believe in anybody, respects no one and is in constant conflict with the ruling system and order. After being left by a silly American girl, Tom binds with a woman whose husband is abroad. When she kicks him out, he moves in with her husband's sister, who later kills him in the attack of jealousy. All this is shown in the context of major historical events prior to 1968. with lots of archive footage of world leaders.
Innocence Unprotected

A documentary about the famous athlete and movie enthusiast who made Serbia's first sound film, Innocence Unprotected. The Nazi occupation of Belgrade prevented the film from gaining wider acclaim. Director Makavejev intersperses clips of the original film with interviews of surviving cast and crew members, as well as newsreel and archival footage.

The Restless Ones

One night, after disastrous road accident, the eyewitnesses were claiming that they saw a woman behind the steering wheel. It was actually three teenagers who stole Peugeot 404 to drive around for fun, but the girl who hitch-hiked them left the car in the middle of highway. They have been chased by the police and crashed fatally. The police continues their intense search to find the fourth person.

This short doc is about changes occurring in Yugoslav rural life as it begins to reap the benefits of motorization, e.g. delivering fruits and veggies to market by automobile, but with a bitter theme: progress is set against horses sent to the slaughter as the car becomes the new domestic animal replacing the animals that had hitherto worked for man.
