春休み。胸躍るような大冒険を求めて、のび太たちは偶然拾った野良犬・ペコを引き連れ、謎の巨神像があるというヘビー・スモーカーズ・フォレストへやって来た。ひみつ道具が少ない中で数々の危機を潜り抜けた末に彼らが辿り着いたのは進化した犬の国・バウワンコ王国。そしてペコはその国の王子・クンタックだった。 しかし、王国はダブランダー大臣に支配され、禁断の古代兵器を用いての外界侵略が始まろうとしていた。クンタックと一緒にいた、ドラえもんたちはおたずね者として指名手配され、似顔絵が貼り出されてしまう。 クンタックの亡き父王の親衛隊長・ブルススによれば、王家には「王国が危機に陥った時、10人の外国人が巨神像の力をもって国を救う」という言い伝えがあるという。外国人はのび太たち5人しかいないものの、一同はこの危機を打開するため、巨神像の所に向かう。

超空間の事故により、のび太の部屋の畳とロップルの宇宙船の倉庫とがつながった。宇宙の惑星、コーヤコーヤ星を第2の遊び場としたのび太は、ロップルやチャミーと共に楽しい日々を過ごす。 しかし、コーヤコーヤ星を含めた小宇宙の各星に鉱脈をはる鉱石「ガルタイト」の独占を企む大企業ガルタイト鉱業は、コーヤコーヤ星に移住し始め採掘の邪魔になる開拓住民の追い出しを画策していた。そのためロップルらはガルタイト鉱業の攻撃の標的となって執拗な脅迫や嫌がらせの中、生活していた。 そのことを知ったのび太らは、ロップルたちの生活を守るため、ガルタイト鉱業に戦いを挑む。
Animation
This was the first episode of Mushi Pro Land, a unique series of 60-minute animated programs. It was also Japan's first 60-minute animated TV program. However, the series never materialized and only this episode was actually aired. The story follows Stevenson's "Treasure Island," featuring characters in the form of animals. For example, the pirate Silver is illustrated as a wolf, where the main character Jim is changed into a rabbit. This has, therefore, nothing to do with the "New Treasure Island," Tezuka's masterpiece Manga.
