"Hantu Bukit Cina" starts off with three teenagers; Jo, Luna and Sandra who have missed their bus that was supposed to take them to their cultural dance course. In order to make it to their destination, the trio hitch a ride with Kent and Zack who are on their way to go fishing. As the group takes off on their journey, their ride suddenly breaks down in what the locals call a creepy desolate area. It's not long after when mysterious happenings start to unravel amongst the group of friends.
The story is about Myra Tan Sri Johan who initially wants to get married to her own choice Malek, but unfortunately Malek suddenly cancel the wedding because of another girl. Tan Sri Johan and Puan Sri Mahani were very disappointed because all the preparation has been done and all the invitation cards have been sent out. In the meantime, Razlan Ariffin who is very dedicated man and trusted among his family has been recently rejected by her fiance because she wants to further her studies. Razlan accepted the fact that he and Mila is not meant to be together. Tan Sri Johan finally decided to ask help from his sister-in-law, wife of his late brother, Ramlah. His initial aim is for Myra to marry Razlan. But Myra and Razlan background is different and they also have different ways of thinking. Based upon an old Malay myth, it tells the story of Arman (Iqram Dinzly) and Melati (Fouziah Ghous) who chose to live in a bungalow built since the Japanese occupation as both of them wanted to live in a peaceful environment without the hustle and bustle of city life. Mysterious things start to occur after Melati accidentally knocks a marked stone in the vicinity of the house and collapses. Melati's mother, Zaiton (Fauziah Nawi) came to visit but then passed away unexpectedly, shocking both Arman and Melati. Melati frequently day dreams, but in fact she have been possessed by an evil ghost that wants to exact revenge after being awaken by Melati. Eventually, Arman suspects that Pak Mail (Sidek Hussain) is responsible for all the strange occurrences.

LANA and LINA will always have differences within themselves. Nevertheless, they still managed to live as good friends with each other. Since small, they have been protected by their parents against outside social elements. They have never been educated in public school. One day, the parents realized that they need to be exposed to the outside world so that the girls will not be too dependent on them. Both girls get this opportunity when they were admitted in the university. They were allowed to choose their preferences in course subjects, self interests and lifestyles.
