Rudi Feld (1896–1994) was a German art director who settled and worked for many years in the United States. Feld was born Rudi Feilchenfeld in Berlin, the elder brother of the actor Fritz Feld. During his early career he worked designing posters for revue and cabaret shows, before graduatating to creating film sets. Feld worked in the German film industry during the boom years of the late silent era. He was employed by the German Major studio UFA as head of advertising. He designed the exterior displays of the flagship UFA cinema Ufa-Palast am Zoo for each new premiere. Following the Nazi rise to power in 1933, the Jewish Feld went into exile. Feld settled in Mandatory Palestine where he briefly owned a nightclub. In 1937 he emigrated to the United States and from the mid-1940s he found regular work in the American film industry. Feld was frequently employed by smaller Hollywood studios such as Eagle-Lion during the post-World War II years, and continued working until 1969.

In this heart-warming drama, a beggar and his performing dog, Flip, struggle to eke out a living upon the cruel streets. He is hired to perform at a rich kid's birthday party. There, the beggar is offered $500 for his beloved dog. He refuses and again hits the streets. Soon he becomes so impoverished that he can no longer provide food for his four-legged friend; he sells him for $20. The beggar is then beaten and robbed. Later he learns that Flip died. The man soon follows the dog to heaven where they begin performing for God.

His friend Killian will not believe him but Haver, now a banker gives him a small loan and then beats him out of his claim. Many years pass before he comes home, now sixty-years-old, and this time, his wife and son open their home to him. But he vows to go prospecting come next spring.

Sherry informs Darman she is going to tell his wife all about them. Darman tells his secretary that he is going to work late and is not to be disturbed, sets the moviola runnings, and exits by the back door and hot-foots it to Sherry's apartment.

Morrow's younger sister takes a candid photo of her sister in her underwear, with face hidden, and sends it to Clarke. He is intrigued and tries to locate the mystery girl but, meanwhile, enters the photograph in a contest. It wins, provided Clarke can identify the girl. He offers a reward and hires a friend to search for her. Meanwhile, back the agency, Nash offers to pose as the missing girl, but she and Clarke quarrel and she walks out. Rather than leave her boss in a fix, Morrow admits she is the girl in the picture.
