ソウルでアメリカ対韓国の空手の試合が行われることになる。その選考会を勝ち抜いた５人の選手は、コーチのクゾーのもとで３ヵ月の合宿生活を送ることになる。５歳の息子を持つアレックス、15年前に空手の大会で兄を失ったトミーをはじめ、個性的な５人の選手はクゾーの厳しい訓練に耐えながら、チームワークを築き上げていく。大会当日。韓国選手の中にはトミーの兄を強烈な打撃で死に追いやったダエ・ハンの名もあった。果たしてトミーは宿敵を倒せるのか、そしてアメリカ・チームは勝利できるのか……。
