October 2015. French customs seize seven tonnes of cannabis in the heart of the capital. The same day, Hubert Antoine, a former mole with a shady past, contacts Stéphane Vilner, a journalist at Libération. He claims to be able to demonstrate the existence of State drug trafficking led by Jacques Billard, prominent media figure and high-ranking French police officer. Suspicious at first, the young journalist finally dives into an investigation that will lead him to the darkest corners of the Republic.

A few years from now, the sun is on the verge of exploding and spatial shock waves flow the Earth. Most humans suffer auditory pain and Cyril's mother becomes a prominent drug dealer for those who decided not to take shelter underground. When she suddenly disappears, Cyril is adopted but he soon feels the need to embark on a journey to find her back.

Diane doesn't hesitate for a moment when her best friends, Thomas and Jacques, ask her to be their surrogate mother. It is in these hardly ideal circumstances that she becomes infatuated with Fabrizio.

Jérôme is trying to seduce a woman. Day after day, he tells the story of this relationship to Patrick, a fellow who he always encounters at the city subway on his way back, who gives him advice and lives through his stories of love.

Jeanne writes during WW II for a French clandestine journal. She is engaged to resistant leader Victor Devère but has a love affair with the young resistant Marc Hétier. But is Marc really trustworthy?

"At the end of the war, despite the loss of one of their two daughters at Auschwitz and with the vain hope of finding the other entrusted to the Carmelites, a dentist and his wife are trying at all costs to return to life. Perhaps the Promised Land will heal their sorrows ... "

A series of events unfold like a chain reaction, all stemming from a minor event that brings the film's five characters together. Set in Paris, France, Anne is an actress whose boyfriend Georges photographs the war in Kosovo. Georges' brother, Jean, is looking for the entry code to Georges' apartment. These characters' lives interconnect with a Romanian immigrant and a deaf teacher.

Ten young people ( boys and girls) at the age at which all is possible. They meet, they love, they choose. The film comes and goes between all those people, revealing their anguish, their dreams, depicting the portrait of a generation of the '90s which has both the fury and the fear of life.
