Paul Wegener gives one of his most active performances here as Captain Ramper, a heroic aviator who makes a pioneering flight across the Arctic accompanied only by Ippling, his faithful mechanic (Kurt Gerron). Near the North Pole, their plane develops engine failure and crashes in the desolate wastes. Ippling dies straight off but Ramper finds a supply base containing food which has been left behind by a previous expedition. After fifteen years in the Arctic wastes, Ramper has considerably mutated.

"Family Traditions" - The young Baron Robert falls in love with his distant relative Helga.

Young Jörgen Steenfeld is the heir of it over the chimney-indebted estate Steensgaard and unable to clear up its finances. "The Lighthouse-Keeper's Daughter". The film premiered on April 2 1918 at Brunkeberg Theatre in Stockholm . The film was to be the last feature film that was released from Hasselblad film before it went up in the newly founded Film Industry Skandia. Filming took place at the Hasselblad Studio in Otterhällan with exteriors from Böttö lighthouse outside Gothenburg by Gösta Stäring.

"Big City Dangers" - About two orphanages children's upbringing in the countryside. Brynolf travels to his father in America. Inga moves to Stockholm for work. In the city lurks many dangers.

Countess Hedvig von Wärnfelt (born Wärnfelt), receives her orphan's granddaughter Marianne to educate her in tukt and her reverence. Marianne is an iron and vibrant young girl, who also carries theater grills. The Countess is staggered over her uneducated facials and treats her severely, hard and joyless.

A private investigator is invited to come to an address. He realizes that it is a trap and take some precautions before going there. Once in place, he is overpowered and tied to a chair with a time bomb.

Jean Bazard (Carl Barcklind) and the lawyer Alphonse Carrel (Arvid Hammarlund) are rivals of the beautiful Rose Legrange (Maja Cassel), but Bazard wins her love. Carrel is more successful in his shameful economic speculations together with banker Leroux (Manne Göthson), who is Roses's uncle.

Lili is a young and courageous woman. She does things that create confusion. She suddenly begin to act in a film's plot in a movie theater, or take a mannequin from a shop.
