Notoriously hip Berlin based hairdresser Tom Herzner falls in love with beauty parlor owner Heidi, turning both of their worlds upside down. So far so good. Only one problem: Tom is gay.
The film is a dramedy about unrequited love, friendship, the uncertainty of the future, and of letting go. The story is narrated by Philipp, a young, luckless musician, who has been in love with his best friend, the equally unsuccessful actress Mona. As he finally sees the chance to confess his feelings, good-looking rising football star Felix König beats him to it. Philipp has to finally decide whether to keep dreaming of the love of his life, or if the time has come, to find another way…
In an enchanted kingdom, Princess Fairy Lillifee rules creating beauty and spreading goodness wherever she goes. Together with her best friend, Pupsi pork, she flies all over her kingdom, leaving behind a magical trail: clouds of pink butterflies and twinkling stars. She soon discovers that not everyone is happy. Many complain about the antics of some fairies. If things don't change, the farm goblins, fishermen elves and mermaids will leave the enchanted kingdom.
Luise, called Pünktchen, and Anton are closest of friends. Being the daughter of a wealthy surgeon, young Pünktchen lives in a great house. Her mother, who always travels through the world more for public relation reasons than for the social tasks she pretends to fulfill, is never available to her as a mother. Anton, son of a single and sick mother in financial trouble, does his best to help her out of it by working late. Pünktchen decides to help her only friend (as nobody else would anyway) and starts singing in public places. Trouble arises when Anton can't resist stealing a golden lighter and Pünktchen's secret life is discovered by her parents. Two troubled families finally can see the need for actions to be taken.
