Underworld godfather Kim, nicknamed Egg Tart, is friendly and sociable. He likes singing more than being the leader of triads. With his principle of peace, harmony and stability, he has won the support of the gang elders. Meanwhile, the cool and handsome Lung becomes a gangster because he is attracted to the cool image of gangsters portrayed in the "Young and Dangerous" movies, and he believes that he has what it takes to be the big boss. To support Lung, his wife sets a trap by trying to seduce Kim in order to obtain the secret of becoming the godfather.

The hilarious sequel to the 1989 hit The Yuppie Fantasia, Brief Encounter in Shinjuku brings back Lawrence Cheng as a thirty-something Hong Kong yuppie finding misadventures in love and marriage. Leung Foon and Ann reunite after the events of The Yuppie Fantasia, but issues still exist. Ann works overtime to be a better wife, and Leung Foon attempts mightily to be a model, upright husband.

Carole and Mandy have just become neighbors in a luxury apartment complex. Mandy is a successful career woman, educated and independent. Ivan is a sales manager and enjoying couple life with his charming, sexy wife called Mimi, but the appearance of Alice crushes their relationship. Coincidently, Alice's manager Peter is Ivan's old schoolmate, he promises Ivan to put him into the group. In order to chase Mimi, Peter sets up tricks to ruin her relationship with Ivan. He makes chance for Ivan and Alice to meet, and they fall in love gradually. Mimi discovered their relationship and decided to leave Hong Kong. A courtship cannot exists three people, Alice chooses to explain to Mimi that all things are set up by Peter, then she leaves and Mimi and Ivan back to their perfect couple life.
